Gesthaven Farmhouse Counter Height Dining Table with 3 Shelves and Trestle Base, Light Brown & White

I bought this after purchasing a particle board ISLAND that subsequently fell apart here on Amazon. I WISH I HAD WENT WITH THIS FROM THE START. Although this is a dining room table, we used it as an Island in our small apartment kitchen. Now that we've moved into a house, we use it as a folding table in the laundry room. It is super sturdy. The color is a gorgeous heathered gray almost. It's got some solid weight to it, but it's not so heavy that it is hard to move around. The shelves on the side made it a perfect space to store spices and bread while it was in the kitchen! Now the shelves house laundry detergent and a fabric shaver. I absolutely love how versatile this is! It's easy to wipe down and it came really fast. I didn't think it would actually be here in one day since it is a heavier item but it definitely was! If I needed to buy this again, I would, but something tells me this will last for years to come!

Beautiful and well made for any purpose. Actually purchased two for my crafting area! Nestled little storage in side is great and convenient. Easy to assemble…. Not too heavy but stable. Easy to move around. If you are looking for something elegant, yet not expensive for the kitchen or seating table, but it. I am very particular and this is totally worth the money!

I love this dining table so much! It is counter height (approx. 36 inches tall). This table is extremely solid and doesn't wobble or move easily when bumped. The box was pretty banged up from shipping and one of the corners on the table is slightly dented and chipping but nothing major. Assembly was easy is hard to mess up. I purchased two swivel bar stools to go with this, although it could easily fit four. This table serves as a kitchen island for me and the dimensions are exact. The table isn't too heavy for one person but is heavy enough to stand sturdy. I love the extra shelf storage on the side and the bottom wood slat to rest your feet on.

Love this table! It’s exactly what I was looking for to add work surface and a place to eat in my little kitchen. I ordered the blue version and it is a beautiful deep blue gray. None of my pieces came damaged, and I suspect that has more to do with the delivery service than the packing. Mine was delivered by a third party truck rather than Amazon so this may vary by region. I assembled the table and two chairs by myself without much issue, even in my small kitchen. It took a few hours but I took my time and made sure to double check instructions along the way. They were pretty clear, just take your time. The pieces feel durable—not hollow or brittle. The paint feels like it might be a little soft or easily scratched so keep that in mind if you have kids. The matching chairs were very easy to assemble, match perfectly, and are super comfortable. Recommendations: - a screwdriver with a hex bit in place of the allen wrench provided - a power drill on a low setting to drill in the little screws under the shelves (there were no pilot holes on mine and the drill made the awkward angle easier) - try and tap the shelf brackets in as much as you can (gently) before screwing them in to minimize gapping on the sides - pay attention to the side you add legs to first; one side has two squares on either side for the shelf to affix to but it wasn’t obvious in the instructions so I missed it - fit the leg pieces that have pegs in before bolting/screwing in place - position all bolts loosely before tightening to ensure they all line up (may be obvious but just a reminder) - get help turning it over when you’re done if you aren’t comfortable lifting it so you don’t break the legs or bend screws when flipping it - I plan to add a clear coat of satin finish polyurethane to the table top to prevent damage as an extra precaution - if you’re worried about paint chipping, consider adding clear coat to the whole table

The first delivery was a disaster- the edges of the table top were crushed. Box was damaged but the damage did not line up with what had happened to the table top. it had obviously been damaged at some earlier time but still shipped, the box receiving new damage! Contacted company, they offered new table in lieu of refund and i was to dispose of damaged product. New table arrived, box in good shape. When putting it together we discovered that the tiny hinges that hold the shelves open had been ripped from two of the shelves, pulling away the surface of the MDF boards. We were beyond disbelief! This was another damage that had occurred during manufacture? but still shipped out. We solved it by switching parts from the first damaged table making one complete undamaged product. To be fair, the table is solid, stable, and looks just like the picture. I used it for a serving table at Thanksgiving but it was intended and is now being used in my workroom - its a great height for cutting out fabric and assembling pieces. The shelves are nice for storing supplies that I need to have access to - like a metal tape measure, scissors etc. If you are willing to take a risk on receiving a damaged product and going through the trouble of contacting the company for resolution I would say go for it! it is a really attractive table, much nicer looking than anything at Ikea, not hard to assemble as long as you remember its not wood and you need to use a tiny drill bit to predrill the few screw holes. Dont get aggressive with the screw driver! Its easy to make a bigger hole than you need. I rated this 4 stars because of the quality issues in shipping but if that had not been an issue I would have been giving it 5! The company were fast in responding and were concerned about the problem.

This Ashley table looks great in my space. The light brown butcher-block style top with the dark blue base gives it a really nice contrast, and it seats up to 4 comfortably, perfect for smaller dining areas. The three built-in shelves are super convenient for storing cookbooks or decor, and the materials feel solid and well-made. Assembly was straightforward and the finished product looks high-quality. My gripe: I had a rough experience with the shipping quality. The first table arrived with water damage on one corner. Amazon replaced it and picked up the defective one, great service, but the replacement came with the exact same damage in the exact same spot. They offered to send a third table or give me a 25% discount to keep it, and I decided to live with it since the damage is subtle and I still love the look. Bottom line: Beautiful table, worth the purchase, just hope they sort out the packaging so others don’t deal with the same issue.

Very easy set up, it looks great! Something I couldn't find accurate answers to was the shelf dimensions. They run the width of the table (30") and are 8" deep. Keep that in mind, as it does take away from the total length. I did not experience any flaws or damage like some other purchasers did. The wood does seem soft though, so it might scratch easily with heavy use. Overall I am satisfied with this product.

This piece of furniture is very high quality. It is exactly as described. Arrived quickly and was easy to build. Super happy with this purchase. Beautiful!! Great storage capacity.
