I got these to keep a couple of kids occupied making cute little custom wedding reception favor key rings and lanyards . They were easy to use, looked great, and the kids loved making them. It kept them occupied for a whole morning so I could get more wedding stuff done. Nice.

I have two kids that absolutely love crafting so I'm always looking for craft and experimental kits for a rainy or cold day and when I saw this, I ordered it right away and I'm SO glad I did!I never tried any 'shrinky-dink' things before, so it was so much fun to spend a couple of hours with my kids experimenting and playing with this and figuring it out and making so many different little things together! I love that it came with all the keychains to add the little creations to so we could keep them or give them as a heartfelt, handmade gift if we wanted to! There was plenty of supplies to make a lot of these for all three of us! The best part is: you don't need to be super artistic or talented, just willing to try to enjoy yourself for something new and creative to do!I highly recommend this kit for anyone looking for a cool new project to try whether for themselves or with children! It's just a lot of fun and a great kit that will keep a few people busy for hours! So awesome!

It's been SO many years since I did shrinky dinks! These are so fun! The kit comes with 15 sheets (normal paper size) of the shrinky dink plastic sheets, and a whole bunch of keyrings. The sheets (if you've never done shrinky dinks) are smooth - this side goes down- and the other side is "frosted" (not super rough, but not shiny smooth) so that when you color with colored pencils- it really fills in the color. Then you cut it out with regular scissors. Make sure you punch the holes in it before you shrink it if you want a hole in it. Then bake it in the oven (follow instructions) and when they shrink, the color seems much deeper (since it condenses the color into a smaller area).These are super fun crafts to do for all ages- obviously an adult or teen needs to do the baking but even little kids can design/color their own shrinky dinks.

Shrinky-dinks are a magic you never outgrow... at least I haven't yet. This shrink plastic is a good alternative to the brand name shrink plastic, and it is printable! Just be aware that the plastic sheets are opaque white, and not transparent, so you won't get the see through results like the old time shrinky dinks. And if you choose to use your inkjet printer, you might want to decrease the color saturation a bit, because they really darken up after shrinking. Color pencils or sharpies also work well. I also tried using acrylic markers which did work and gave a really interesting texture.Also be aware that they shrink a LOT. I've included before and after pictures, the full sheet of uncut images and the finished product displayed on a sheet of paper for size reference. The results are so cute and can be made into so many fun things.Everything arrives in a handy zipper bag which can be reused for storage. The instructions are a bit iffy, and the oven temperature is only given in Celsius. Converted to Fahrenheit, you need to bake them at 320 degrees until they shrink up and flatten out. If they don't flatten out completely you need to use something to flatten them quickly, because they harden up within seconds. I did try using a heat gun on a larger piece, and it turned into a total disaster. I have seen it done that way, but I personally don't have that skill.The included keyrings and hardware are a nice addition to complete your craft. I have a different type of project in mind using the shrink plastic, but I'm sure I will use them for something eventually. All in all I've been very pleased with this craft kit. It is such a great way to encourage creativity in children, and still fun for older folk as well.

I had these as a kid, but I didn't know they were still around. My residents had so much fun making Christmas ornaments with them . Super easy to use.

Me and my kids have had lots of fun with these! They color the sheet, cut it to the shape they want then oven it. It shrinks up.
