Surpassed my wildest hopes! A miracle and BIG money saver!
MIRACULOUS! We bought a home that was a bank repo. The windows had been left open all winter (North Idaho) and as a result, the hickory floors had "cupped" (warped). Our flooring contractor said they could not be repaired and quoted us $17K to replace them. We did a lot of reading up on it and found many experts who claimed this type of warp can sometimes be reversed in good home climate conditions. However, it takes time. I had to choose between spending a large amount of money that was needed for other repairs on the home or living with severely beat up, dirty looking floors for a year while we waited to see if they would calm down enough to be sanded and refinished. I resigned myself to living with the grody looking floors for a year in hopes that it would be worth the wait and we could eventually refinish, rather than replace them.Meanwhile, I hired a tile and grout restoration company to restore the floor tile that was also in disgusting, filthy condition. The day after the tile work was done, I noticed a sliver of wood floor that had accidentally gotten some of their tile stripper on it. It was light, bright, brand new looking wood! This really got me thinking....and googling.I found that many people make the mistake of using waxy floor polishes on their floors (think Mop & Glo), which actually retain dirt and grime, causing the floors to look perpetually dark and dirty. This waxy layer also scratches easily and just looks awful after repeated applications. My next quest sent me in search of the right product to try. At this point, it was still just wishful thinking that the ugliness of the floor was possibly just a wax problem.Reviews on Home Depot and Amazon sites steered me toward this product. My first test patch had me almost crying with joy and relief! The results far surpassed my hopes! The process takes some elbow grease, but the result is so miraculous that I'm compelled to keep going. While my boards are still "cupped", this is not really noticeable. To the average person, it looks like a brand new floor. Now I'm happy to look at it indefinitely while we wait to see if it will lay back down.In closing, here is the formula and method that worked for me:1. Mix equal parts stripper and water.2. Saturate a workable size area with a sponge (maybe 2 x 4 ft)3. Wait 5 minutes4. Scrape with a wider plastic putty knife or drywall spatula5. Repeat if needed (my floor had been waxed for 14 years, so most areas needed a second pass)6. Scoop up the grey slimy gunk with paper towels, then follow with a clean, damp towel.$20 vs $17K for a brand new "looking" floor. Magic!

This stuff did exactly what I needed it to do
This wax remover was awesome. My wife and I accidentally applied Bona Polish instead of cleaner for a couple of weeks to our "hardwood" floor. It's engineered hardwood, but for finish purposes, it's a hardwood floor. It left it cloudy and kind of grimy-looking. Our cleaning lady tried for several visits in a row to get it cleared up, with no success. This stuff worked great. To get our floors clean I took the following steps1. Find all Bona Polish in the house, pour it down the nearest drain.2. Sweep floor3. Mix Trewax Instant Wax Remover and water 1:5 ratio in an old Windex bottle. It looks about like watered down mountain dew.4. Get a bucket of hot water and a mop ready5. Get a new clean Bona microfiber mop ready6. Hose down a section of floor about 3 feet long and up to 12 feet wide with Wax Remover.7. Use the clean Bona mop to spread the wax remover evenly, use enough so it doesn't dry.8. Wait 3 minutes9. Use hot water mop to take up most of the wax remover, then repeat on the next 3 foot long section.10. When you get a big area done, go back over it with Bona CLEANER, not polish, not polish, not polish. You can see the before and after in the one picture, the right side of the picture you can see the filmy polish and then the side where it is removed. The other picture is after the whole floor was finished and dry.I could have easily done 1500 sq feet with a 32oz bottle, but we bought the gallon because I didn't know how well it would work. After 3 days it still looks awesome, no harm to the finish of the floor. This stuff is worth every penny.

Used 4:1 solution and it easily took up 15+ years of using Mop-n-Glo on the floors. Took it slow and easy and used an Oxo scrubber (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004OCLS?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_38) and lots of rags to great effect. Smell wasn't too bad and stayed near the work location, not spreading all over our small townhome. Steam cleaned floor once done, just to be sure, and no apparent residue or leftover wax bits. More than a bit surprised really, highly recommended.

This product really works!
I move into Grandma's house and there were years of build up wax that trapped dirt specially in the corners.I did had to mix 1-1 ratio and yes it looks like mountain dew but it's super strong l advised to keep all windows open and wear a mask.I started in the kitchen a small section. Small section by small section took me about two days to do the entire kitchen. You have to wet the floor with the formula leave it for about 3-4 minutes and then start scrubbing off and all that stuff l mean rolls of white stuff start to come out. Don't let it dry just keep scrubbing and pouring till it's completely smooth and then mop with water...I recommend having two mops. Rinse the entire section with water. It feels amazing once just since you can really tell how smooth it leaves the floors.I'm starting the living room this weekend l know it would probably take several days. Someday I'll get to the library. Maybe by the end of summer I'll have the entire word floors cleaned.I recommend using gloves and mask... That product is very strong.

The best hardwood flooring wax stripper on market
This product saved me from spending $$$ on professionals and it gets the job done. We had 10 years of wax on our old hardwood flooring and a 1:1 ratio worked great for us. You just have to saturate the flooring with it and leave for 2-3 minutes. The flooring wax comes right off with a little scrubbing. Highly recommend!

Not for hardwood
The description says for wood, if you look up hardwood stripper it comes up, but if you read the container it says not for hardwood. Took it to local home depot like the paper says, because I'm in Canada No go, stuck with it now can not be returned all though it says you can. Better watch what you buy. NOT HAPPY
