Crock Pot Artisan 13 Inch Enameled Cast Iron Lasagna Pan, Sunset Orange

I bought this and used it for the first time today to make lasagna. I used only a plastic spatula to get the lasagna out of the pan, but afterward some of the ceramic came off the bottom of the pan. The pan looks nice but it should not flake off after one use and no metal ever touched it. I bought it in early October and it is now the end of November so it is too late to send it back.

Somehow it makes food taste better. I don't know how, but all cast iron does it. We love the handles and use disposable aluminum non stick foil, so we have a truly non stick cast iron. Very happy with the investment. We also have the red enameled one, so for a larger meal they sit together in the oven.

Both sides next to the handles were missing large chunks of enamel. I'll let you guess how long it took for those to get rusty

This is exactly what we were looking for! We wanted a good, heavy duty, durable, reusable, lasagna pan. Enamel coated cast iron was the way to go. Heavy, substantial and looks good enough to go from oven to table.

I love this heavy and sturdy cookware. Not only does it bake things evenly but looks good on the table too.

This pan is great. It is quite heavy and easy to clean.

I have to send it back. It seems like a beautiful sturdy pan and it cooks the food fine, but there is a strange smell and taste that permeates the food. I cleaned and oiled it properly but it still stinks. Kind of metallic and chemical. Also, when wiping it down, the cloth turned black. So I boiled water and vinegar in it, rinsed, dried, and oiled it. The smell is still present and each time I wipe it the cloth comes up black. I'm not sure what they've treated or coated the pan with but it ain't good.

I absolutely love this pan. Used it today to cook bacon out on the BBQ and then threw in some eggs...It was great. Then roasted chicken wings inside my roaster oven. Browned the food while keeping it moist and juicy. I love that it actually is well seasoned and the food released easily, not something cast iron typically does right away. I highly recommend this pan. I will find excuses to use it!

I love this pan. It isn’t too heavy for me, deep and good quality from what I can tell. The heat distributed evenly. I’ve been wanting one for quite a long time but the cost was too high. When I saw this one at an affordable price, I snapped it up and couldn’t be happier. If you are used to using cast iron, I highly recommend it.

I am a lover and an owner of many pieces of good quality cast iron cookware and this is on the top of my list. I use cast iron for all my cooking and am a firm believer that cast iron improves the flavor. I used this pan for desserts as well as casseroles. I would recommend it for anyone.
