Review: Powerful, honest and touching - It is one of the best books to read to understand what happens behind addiction, and find a way to see the human behind. Review: Could this book be any more awesome - โDiving into โFriends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thingโ by Matthew Perry is like peeking behind the curtain of a beloved character. In the book, Matthew, not Chandler, shares his real-life struggles despite having fame and success. Itโs not the happy ride I expected; instead, itโs a roller coaster of emotions. Reading this after his passing brought tears as I discovered the hidden battles he faced. The book beautifully shows that life is more than just the laughs and applause. Matthew, beyond the funny guy we know, reveals a vulnerable side battling personal demons. Itโs hard to fathom how someone who made us laugh so much carried so much pain inside. As Chandler, he made us laugh, and through this memoir, he shares the less-known, emotional side of his life. This memoir is a touching reminder that even those who bring joy can have their own struggles. Matthew Perry, not just Chandler, emerges as a strong soul. The book leaves a lasting impact, making us appreciate the complexity of a life lived both on and off the screen. ๐๐ Matthewโs dreams came true when he embodied the character of Chandler Bing on the show. We could express it as โChandler lived the life that Matthew had envisioned.โโ

Lovely. Liked Chandler, and Matthew Perry's story is very relatable, though I'm not an addict.

Funny, sad and a tear jerker
I'm a big fan of Chandler and there is no one in the world who could play him other than MP. This book is hilarious yet extremely sad..it unfurls like a movie script i felt. What was heartbreaking to know is that though Chandler was played by Matthew, Matthew wasn't the least bit like Chandler..he just longed to have a normal life, a wife and kids...the last chapter ..when he wins over all his demons and is ready to turn a new page..and the reader knows like him that it was all a bit too late.

Depressing, but it's a fake copy.
About the seller: I bought this for โน380 for a library binding format (as they claimed). But I received a fake but coloured paperback of the original. In the last pages, there were inkstains and printer info. About the book: I have always wondered how a person like Perry could be depressed amd addicted like this. Now reading the book, it is depressing, except for the last chapter. He has written his sadness in a lighter tone, that's why people claim it to be funny. But it's a sad memoir in reality, also now that he has died. I was depressed for 2 3 days after reading it. Rest in Peace Chandler Bing.
