The first time I had Kikkoman soy sauce 55+ years ago remains a vivid memory. I didn't realize there could be such a profound difference in soy sauces. Those I was familiar with were widely available soy sauces with Chinese names. Frankly, those soy sauces all tasted alike, ie salty, and not much else. From that first taste of Kikkoman soy sauce I was hooked. I've since tried numerous premium soy sauces. I enjoy experimenting, and will continue to do so, but the improvements over Kikkoman are, for my tastes, minor rather than profound. The Kikkoman Ponzu Citrus Seasoned Dressing and Sauce is a wonderful addition to the Kikkoman family. For my tastes, I'd prefer another jolt of citrus, and a bit less vinegar, but I'm nuts for citrus & generally dislike vinegar. This dressing is an excellent dipping sauce for Asian dumplings or a terrific flavor enhancer for rice or noodle dishes. It takes the lowly ramen noodle to the next level. I routinely add a few dashes of this to my ramen along with a touch of concentrated Bloody Mary mix, some yuzu hot sauce and sweet & spicy peanuts. These additions literally add seconds to the noodle prep and yield a much tastier ramen. I'm also enamored of several of Annie Chun's noodle dishes. Those benefit greatly from a substitution of a 1/2 oz of this dressing for a 1/2 oz of the water, ie 1.5 oz water plus 0.5 oz Kikkoman ponzu citrus sauce. I wish this was a bit less costly but the flavor it delivers is well worth the price. I'm glad I found it and will have it on hand at all times going forward.

I didn’t know this product existed until I had a tiny sized packet included in a bento meal of pepper chicken and rice. Delicious on chicken, rice, and steamed broccoli. I know I’ll use it for many more things, but I haven’t had time because this started only a few days ago.

First time tasting this. Light unassuming but full of flavor!

The sauce itself is excellent. The quality is exactly what you would expect: great flavor, well balanced, and clearly the right product. In terms of taste and quality, there are no complaints at all. However, there is one important issue that needs improvement: the packaging. While the bottle is well protected with bubble wrap, this type of packaging damages and tears the label, leaving it partially destroyed or unreadable. This matters because a sauce without a label becomes an “anonymous” bottle. I may know what it is because I bought it, but anyone else in the household would have no idea what sauce it is. In short: excellent product, but the presentation needs improvement. If the packaging protected the label properly, the overall experience would be perfect.
