The quality and craftsmanship of this cleaver is outstanding. Out of the box, I did not notice any burrs, blemishes, or any imperfections on the blade. The handle is very smooth and nicely finished. This cleaver has a unique design that enhances both safety and usability. It has a finger hole that helps provide a secure grip and improves handling. It also has jimpings that help provide exceptional control and prevent slippage. These features are not commonly seen in kitchen cleavers, but are utilized in outdoor utility and tactical knives. It has good weight and it feels solid. It has a nice balance, and the ergonomics make it incredibly comfortable to hold. The sheath it comes with is also nice and sturdy.
