Impressive cooler.
Impressive cooler. Have it mounted on an Epyc 7413 (you need to flip the retaining plate to work on TR5). Haven’t seen the thing go over 35c and the pump/fans are virtually silent! Expensive? Yes. Cooling capacity?! Absolutely amazing! No RGB gimmicks, no fluf. Industrial quality, industrial design! Noise level: Virtually none Look: Great industrial look, perfect for the job Fit: Excellent for for server/workstation grade CPUs

Impressive cooling but loud. Swap out fans with Noctua 120mm
Works great but very loud. Swapped out factory fans with three Noctua 120mm PWM big improvement with the noise nice and quiet AIO does a great job.

Good so far...
This is working well so far with a Threadripper Pro 3995wx. Yes, it's made specifically for TR5 socket, but the mounting is the same as SP3/TR4 mounts except for the extra spring tension. The cold plate provides complete coverage of the die, is very level and is nickel-plated so that you can use LM compounds like Conductonaut without worrying about the gallium being sucked up by a copper plate. The stock thermal paste is pre-applied, hoses and radiator charged and sealed so installation is a breeze. The cold plate assembly is very low profile since the pump is integrated into the radiator. The only real pre-assembly is affixing the fans to the radiator. Speaking of fans, they are not terrible, but definitely louder than I would expect for a product at this price point. Like others, I will replace with something a little quieter first opportunity. I'm doing a motherboard refresh and will switch to LM compound at that time, but even with the stock paste, it is running 3 degrees cooler at full load than my previous Noctua cooler. I'll update after fan swap and LM application. I didn't knock off a star for the fan noise since I already knew that from previous review.

Quiet and keeps Threadrippers cool.
I went from a Noctua NH-U14S TR5-SP6 which at 100% on a 7970 was at about 95c to about 72c using this water pump cooler. The stock fans will go up to 2000 RPM and they get pretty loud (like a wind tunnel), so I ordered some Noctua NF-A12x25 fans to replace them. The water pump has a very slight higher pitch sound on it (the PC is about 4 feet from the floor to my ear), but it has to be pretty quiet for you to hear it. All in all, worth the purchase and keeping my 7970 around 48c at 1-2% usage.

Great AIO
This is the only AIO for SP5 (AMD Genoa) on the market (~May, 2024) and it’s a great one. Picked up two for two Epyc9684X’s which both can easily suck in 400W each. This pair of AIO’s had no issues dealing with cooling the cpus when each one was drawing 375W in my stress test (temps steady @ 62C) with fans set at 2000 rpm! The only aspect I believe they could make an improvement would be the fans in my opinion, they could be quieter (they make 52dB @2000rpm). I tested beQuiet silent wing pro 4, Nactua Nf12 industrial and Arctic P12Max as alternatives (they all exceed the static pressure and airflow rating of the AIO’s fans) and the P12Max came on top (36dB for the same steady 62C in my stress tests). The other two weren’t that far behind (40dB) which tells me that there are at least 3 fans that can do the same or a better job of cooling the rads at much lower noise level. Silverston, there’s no shame in copying if you copy the best, please do!

Incredibly fast cooling
This cools my Threadripper very well and is quiet. It is a priced very high for what it is, but there are only a few good options out there.

Good for a 3960X too
Performs great, this cools my Threadripper 3960X based system well. The temperature when full thermal design power is being used is around 80°C which is quite good. The spreader size covers the whole TR4/TR5 socket which is why I got it.

Quiet pump
I have to put my ear within around 6 inches from the pump to be able to hear it. I was originally going to create a video to give an example of the pump sound, but the microphone picked up my breathing and far-away house ambient sounds which were louder than the pump. It is easy to swap out the included fans with quiet Noctua fans. The fans are not pre-installed. I’m going to use low rpm Noctua fans in a push-pull configuration on both sides (6 total). This way I can get good static pressure through the radiator at very low rpm and the whole cooling system will be very quiet. Overall this is a high quality AIO CPU cooler, perfect for my ThreadRipper PRO 7975WX.
