I needed a dew shield, and don't drink kombucha.The adjustable heat range is great.It is just the right low range heat for a dew shield so there ya go. :-)The interface is pretty straight forward, one could say intuitive.The screen very generous with its size!The buttons are large, and customization is pretty good for what it is, and what I am using it for.As for kombucha. Well I will make some and update accordingly.As it is stands it is great, it is easy to use, and it is small and compact!

I followed the instructions but was very disappointed. After only 8 hours, the heating mat's temperature spiked, killing my Kombucha SCOBY.

This is an amazing gadget if you live where the weather gets cold and like to ferment foods. I regularly make kombucha but have struggled in the winter to get a good fermentation going when it’s cold outside. I had no idea something like this existed until I saw this item. It fits perfectly around my one gallon fermentation jar but it’s adjustable so it can be made smaller or quite a bit larger too. The instructions are clear, the controller is simple to use and allows for a wide range of temperatures depending on the food you are fermenting. It has a strip thermometer to attach to your vessel and also a temperature probe that attaches with a suction cup. The pad heats up quickly and holds a steady temperature. This item is a game changer for me-no more sitting my kombucha container in front of a heater vent this winter!

my heating blanket is not heating at all and I am very disappointed in the quality of the product.DO NOT PURCHASE!!! Utter waste of money!!
