This genuine Flexoid gasket paper may feel slightly damp or oily to the touch. **Q: Is this flexoid paper suitable for carb to cylinder head**
A: In my opinion yes, from memory Flexoid is usable up to about 120C, normally auto engines run at 75 - 110C max.., so temperature OK, carburettor joint not under serious pressure, so I would try it there.  I have also used it on a low pressure crankcase cover on my Suffolk Punch Lawnmower.  Maybe an auto mechanic would give a more informed answer.
