Battles of Kursk: A Solitaire Wargame (Mike Lambo Solitaire Book Games)

Another great book from Mike
If you have bought and played any of the other solitaire books by Mike Lambo, then you probably know what to expect, if you have not you are in for a treat. This latest book continues the progression of the AI, which is challenging while not being over complicated to use. In the case of this book there are a few more unit types and this provides variety as well as giving the player new problems to deal with. The book also offer a greater variety of missions/scenarios, in most of the earlier books you were on the attack and that was thath. Here as weel as taatcks , you are called to defend, conduct rearguard actions, so giving a lot more to do than simply killing the enemy.I really liked the new Russian command system, keeping units in touch allows for more orders to be carried out. A simple idea that again adds to your player decisions.Only gripe the use of the panzershreck, which did not enter frontline service until later, but if you simply remove Kursk and simply say Eastern Front you are fine - really just nitpicking.Well worth the money for those time you want to play a wargame but have not got the time or space to set up something elaborate.Look forward to the next one

One of Mr. lambo's best!
Lots of units, lots of decisions every scenario!! Exciting every roll of the die! While it is not often I play Russian Forces, I enjoy the game that is rather tough to beat! Another winner from Mr. Lambo!!

Another Great Game
The mechanics is new but similar to some of Mikes other games. Nice hex and counter design. As I've said before he makes the best by far hex and counter book games. On a regular war game you make a lot of moves before something happens, with his games your in the action first turn. The AI is really good! Better than some of the more expensive games I've played that are around $100 to $150.
