Easy to install and easy on the wallet
I used these emitters to replace older ineffective or non-functional emitters. I had several emitters that would not open correctly or didn't water where I wanted them to water. It was easy to remove the offending emitter and just use the same hole to push the new emitter in. These emitters are inexpensive, and just push right in to the existing hole in the irrigation line. I have a special gardening weed removal tool that works perfectly to remove the old emitter. Just make sure to open the emitter a little bit before installation, and then they are very easy to adjust to achieve the correct flow.

Plugs directly into 1/2" line no problem
Using these in 2 6x12 raised bed gardens. Instead of using 1/4" tubing all of my emitters are plugged directly into the 1/2" line with NO problems at all. I have a 25psi regulator and backflow preventer on the inlet side of a Y connector and each bed connected to 1 leg of the Y. Pressure at the hose bib is 35-40psi however given the distance to the furthest bed I don't get the max distance but still enough flow to water the entire garden in 15-20 min.Edit: May 2019. I have now ordered and put to use over 400 of these emitters. Last year I had 2 6x12 raised beds and this year it is 5 4x12 and 10 4x4 raised bed. On the 4x12's I have 33 emitters and the 4x4 9. As others have said it takes a bit of work to get them the way you want them but the 30 min I spent doing that was time WELL SPENT!!! Once they are adjusted all is good unless the water pressure changes quite a bit.

It's great, but only if you can literally leave it alone
This is a good product and works pretty much as advertised. The barb plugs in to the irrigation tube, and the red cap disperses the water. The rate at which the water flows out is controlled by twisting the red cap. This is good in theory, and pretty much works like that too.- However -If you even as much as lightly touch this after installation, it is very likely that the red cap will move (by a miniscule amount) and the watering rate will change. So - if your need is such that you can install it, set the watering level and then forget about it - it's really good. But if your situation is like mine - where you can potentially disturb it (say while plucking suckers or weeds from the bed), then this probably is not the best choice.

Works good at first. Falls apart after about a year
These worked great for about a year then multiple of them fell apart and had to be replaced.

You get what you paid for...
These are very cheap irrigation drippers and although MOST of them work, about 3 out of ten are either too sensitive to adjustments or completely defective. I’ve used about 40 pieces so far and the working ones are holding up well. Kind of a pain in the ass to adjust as they are pretty stiff to turn compare to rainbird drippers. Make sure to close the drippers all the way, then open it ONE FULL TURN when installing if you are installing a NEW LINE, then adjust CLOSEST to the valve working your way ti the very end of the line. Or, you could hop on the ones that are gushing out and adjusting each until you get the desired flow. Some of these drippers will gush our water with just a few clicks so the trick is to open it up all the way then dialing it down. Since they are very cheap comapre to rainbird at $.32 cents a piece, these are good buy. Although a PITA getting it right, but once set all you have to do is adjusting the duration. If you think it’s defective, just toss it away and put another one saves you time and the headache, for .08 cents each, you have 3 more to spare. Good luck and I hope this review helps...

Save Yourself Time and Money
These adjustable emitters are so simple to install whether you're replacing existing emitters or installing a new system.Rather than purchasing a variety of emitters (those single-stream red, green, yellow and black colored), you can adjust these to regulate water flow. This feature alone will save time and money. When installing drought tolerant landscape plants, you will need irrigation which is reduced over time (and sometimes stopped altogether). These emitters are well suited for that application especially.

Great for plugging or dripping
Due to the ability to close or open these, they work great (closed) to remove old drip heads and plug holes without replacing the hose, and adjusting them is easy. Drill a quick hole and pop you're done. Cant speak to longevity but I imagine thats just based on if dirt gets in them or not.

Not UV stable.
I bought some of these a few years ago. I did repurchase these even though they are not UV stable. Only good for about a year. I will paint them this time to stop the UV from degrading them. Will use Fusion paint for plastic.
