I've been using this for over a month. It fits comfortably on 38" hips would probably stretch several inches further. The velcro fasting holds well. When I intend to play golf or do any lifting in the garden I increase the tension using the adjuster straps. It seems well made with no obvious defects appearing so far. Unfortunately there are no washing instructions.I cannot comment on whether it works other than to say that I am generally more mobile and have less pain but that could also be due to the physio!

The elastic has gone into wiggly lines after only a few uses, and looks a bit misshapen, however it provides good support to my SI Joint area and the gel pack (I havent used for heat yet) is fantastic to help take the edge of the pain after cooling in the freezer. I would highly recommend this to anyone with pain in the SI Joint and hip area. I have hEDS and this has made sitting for longer periods a lot more bearable!

This is a really good quality product.

This is a nicely made belt with a slim pocket, middle back, intended to take a "silica" like pad. This can be cooled, or heated. The idea is the belt holds the pad against the sacroiliac joint. The sacrum is a triangular shaped bone at the bottom of the spine and is connected on either side to the hip bones. This means the belt has to pass across the hips. It is not a belt for a bad back per se, but one intended to apply heating or cooling to the sacroiliac joint.This need to fit around the hips could be something of a problem for the more generously proportioned. The belt is 39 inches long. There needs to be some overlap for the belt to be secured to itself. The sad result is the belt will fit less than 50% of the adult UK population, male or female.It's a nice enough belt, and works well for those it fits. However, some anthropometric research about the UK adult population would have been sensible.

I have bought many different belts to help My hips and back and for a wee while the are great then the start doing not a lot when I need the support. I saw this and thought I would give it a try. I love the fact that there is a small pack that you pkace in your Freezer and insert it into a pouch and it is wonderful - I love it!!
