He is amazingly gorgeous, and I think I figured out how his clothes work?? But I can't get his headdress to stay on for more than a few seconds. Oh, well. He's sturdy (if you treat him well), beautiful, and quite a bargain for the price I got him for. I just need to find somewhere in my room that this lovely Anubis fits lol.

This Anubis BJD is gorgeous. He is anatomically correct. Not massively detailed but the part is there. As an artist I appreciate the detail. Although I know others are sensitive, so I thought I would tell the bit of info. The mask is a little tricky to get to stay on. Mine came early, an everything is as advertised. He is pictured with a cobra staff, he doesn't come with it. I have seen some ask about it, but if you look in his product description it isn't listed. He comes with everything they have listed including an extra set of hands. So glad about that. His space isn't set up yet so he is hanging out by my sewing machine.

He’s even more beautiful in person. The quality of this doll is amazing. You can tell a lot of care was put in to every detail. His eye color is stunning, and he looks great with or without the Anubis head on.

Full disclosure for review: This is my first 1/4 BJD. I love BJDs, but they are unfortunately always very expensive. Considering the price, this is an amazing doll. The doll looks exactly like the listing, except for one detail, which is that the top part of his outfit, the mantle/cowl-type item, is missing a gold border on the outside edge, but that doesn't bother me too much. Beyond that, he definitely exceeded all my expectations. I think he's a great choice for people who are just checking out bjds for the first time like me. He was packed with great care. I appreciate that the smaller joints, like his feet and hands, and his head as well, were wrapped with an extra protective layer. I was aware that the headdress would likely not fit well, due to other comments I saw on the listing, and that is definitely the case. It simply isn't structured large enough/in a way that it sits comfortably on his head. I was able to balance it for a few minutes at a time for the pictures I took, but generally speaking it would slide off shortly after. The best chance I had for the headdress to stay on was to tie the elastic really tight and slide it up behind the head and under the hair. Not only is the doll beautiful, but so are the clothes and accessories. While the Headdress doesn't fit well, it's quite lovely, and I half-expected the metallic accents to all be made of plastic, but that was not the case. There are certainly some plastic parts, but some are definitely metal, and the pieces that are plastic have a nice metallic finish. ONE THING TO NOTE ABOUT THE LISTING: The last bullet point of the description reads "The Oueneifs doll comes with interchangeable faceplates, allowing you to personalize its expression and create different personalities for your doll," but this was not the case. There was a second set of hands, but no extra faces. It does make sense, though, as the doll head is only split into two pieces - the main part of the skull, and the top part held on with a magnet that lets you access the back of the eyes and top of the cord that runs through the doll, while a doll with a faceplate usually has a different head structure.

What a beautiful doll. He's my very first one and I am just in awe of his beauty. I didn't know what I was getting into when I got him in terms of size, but he's pretty big. Anyway, lovely makeup, eyes, and hair (I did curl it with hot water and curlers) and clothes. Best first doll I could ever ask for.

Dies ist meine zweite Puppe von diesem Händler, und wieder hat mich die Qualität voll überzeugt. Anubis hat sehr viele Gelenkpunkte, auch im Torso, und er ist ein (anatomisch korrekter) Mann. Keine Ahnung, warum er auf meinen Fotos so rot aussieht, seine Haut ist in Wirklichkeit schön dunkel. Anubis hat ein zweites Paar Hände dabei, die recht ähnlich sind, aber etwas mehr danach aussehen, als würde er etwas greifen. Er war ein wenig schwierig anzuziehen, und der Hut hält absolut nicht. Es sind Gummibänder daran, um ihn hinten unter dem Haar festzubinden, aber das klappt auch nicht so gut. Ich werde einen Neodym Magneten in den Hut kleben und einen zweiten unter der Perücke platzieren, dann hält das prima. Die Deko am Hut wird übrigens nur lose über die Ohren drapiert. Das Oberteil hat nicht die golden abgenähte Kante vom Katalogbild, aber das ist okay. Er hat wahnsinnig viele kleine Steinchen und Details verbastelt in seinem Outfit. Anubis hat Krallen an den Füßen und hat daher leider keine Schuhe, aber das hat man vorm Kauf ja gesehen. Auch die sonstige Deko wie der Stab sind nicht dabei, waren aber auch nicht angekündigt. Das Gesicht ist teils von Hand bemalt und teils ein Wasserschiebebild (das Motiv auf der Stirn). Sieht topp aus! Nur die Perücke finde ich ein bißchen strohig, aber vielleicht gibt sich das noch etwas nach dem Waschen. Das ist meine erste 1/4 Puppe und meine zweite echte BJD, und ich hätte mir keinen besseren Erstkontakt wünschen können. Ein herrlicher junger Mann!

Gorgeous doll. Exquisite features and costume. Just a word to prospective buyers, If you thought this was a female doll - ITS NOT. I was really pleased with that as Anubis is a male god after all!
