I was told to buy a "Strap Clamp" to help me build an RC boat from a wood kit that I had. I had never heard of one, so I hit Amazon to find one.I found this one which seemed to fit the bill for what I needed.Shipping was fast, and the product seemed pretty nicely made. It was easy to use and had plenty of length on the band for it to work for what I would think are a ton of projects.I used it to hold the main hull together on the RC boat that I was building right away. Wow. What a difference this product made on the build!! This was the second kit I had built, and the first time I had to keep measuring for square with a triangle, and hope that every other part was actually square. With the strap clamp, I just put it together with some 30 minute epoxy on the ends, adjusted the clamp to hold things the way that they were supposed to, tightened it up so it was snug (but not really tight) and let the hull sit. It came out with PERFECT 90 degree square angles.I'm really glad I got this. It made the project much easier while also making it come out nicer.Highly recommended!!

There is nothing negative to say about this. It serves its purpose and functions well. If you are building a frame or similar structure, this is a must-have.

I had a thrift store picture frame that needed corner gluing and squaring and this did the trick. Should last forever for my purposes.

I purchased a Powertec mount clamp several years ago when I started building frames for my wife’s artwork, I needed to buy a couple more band clamps so I could glue-up runs of frames for her.The Powertec has worked okay but it’s somewhat finicky and time consuming do use, so ydecided to go with the Pony clamps and was amazed at how much easier they are to work with.First off, the pony clamp strap locks are spring loaded (the Powertec ones aren’t’) and that make tensioning the clamp straps much quicker to tighten. The clamp handle turns more freely too. The net result is a faster & tighter set-up.All in all, I couldn’t be happier with the Pony strap clamp. I’ll probably buy a couple more, & I recommend it heartily.

I have other versions of this type of clamp that I use a lot for picture frames. This one is far better.All of them can be a bit tricky to use but it works very well and really squares up and holds the frame. Because the locking devices are spring loaded they work a lot better than ones you need to lock manually.

Strap on short end is simply cut off without any method to prevent it from easily pulling completely out of the vise (and having to refeed it in). Strap on longer end is wound and secured with a rubber band. Weird!!! Other brands have straps secured neatly within the vise handle itself, with a winding handle instead of having to self wind and manipulate the rubber band. Otherwise, very sturdy.

Used these for clamping up Floating Frames and they were excellent and easy to use. The spring loaded tabs was an added bonus to keep tension on the strap. 2 thumbs up!!!

Making a small frame out of oak and works perfectly. Take time to line up the frame and holds everything tight until glue dries.
