Just get it!
Been using this for two days now and everything is great. I have a dual Xeon workstation and gaming PC connected via KVM. After I got everything hooked up I maxed out the refresh rate at 240 Hz. Right off the bat I got really bad flickering, like multiple flickers per second and only happened at 240Hz. Fortunately, the problem was with my DP cable. Even though it was a Dp 1.4 it just couldn't support that high of a signal. Bought a new one. switched it out, and everything is great. Now, if you were like me I hesitated because my monitor is shared for work and play. I didn't know how bad the text would be considering how that is not a strong suit. The text isn't as sharp as my previous monitor but not a big deal at all. As a matter of fact, I am already used to it and don't think about it anymore. The blacks on this thing is absolutely amazing. The colors are so vibrant and rich and gaming looks so much better, even compared to a non OLED 4k monitor. The one thing that I was not too thrilled about is the auto dimming feature. If I switched from my desktop to MS word, you would see some minor dimming. I found out this is part of the built-in screen saving options. Not sure which ones so I turned them all off. I am not overly worried about burn-in. If it happens then I will use my 3-year warranty. By the way, make sure you register the monitor on Asus's site. Now, add this to your cart and check out. UPDATE: I just upgraded to the PG27UCDM (review above was for the XG27AQDMG). For some reason Amazon won't let me write an independent review, even though it is a different model so I am including it in this review. Without exaggeration, this may be the best monitor ever. It just took a few minutes to change the settings based on what I like. The colors are so vibrant and blacks are so deep. I seriously cannot think of anything on which to improve the quality on this monitor, except for one. There is noticeable flicking if I have VRR enabled. Certainly not a deal breaker but you can see it flicker if you pay close enough attention. Other than that, it's perfect and worth the $$$$.

Crazy Difference
Absolutely insane in the difference. I came from a 165hz 1080p IPS monitor (monitor on right in the pic is a 75hz 1080p IPS) and the difference is crazy good. Not only in the colors, but the pixel quality too. Starting off with the colors, I mean do I even have to say anything? It’s an OLED and everyone knows how crazy good the colors on them are. I’ve had it for about two months now and I already have the OLED curse where every other TV or monitor looks mid now. The blacks and contrast in color is the best I’ve ever seen. I like the black and white backgrounds the most but colorful games (like geometry dash) looks incredible. Next is the frame rate. I have an rtx 4070 super and a 7800x3d so I still get the full 240hz on most games in 1440p ultra (except cyberpunk or modded Skyrim lmao). The 240hz is definitely an incredible difference from 165hz and is VERY noticeable in Rainbow Six Siege and Halo. Overall, the monitor is great and feels very premium to open, set up, and use (as it should for the price). I would highly recommend this monitor if you have the budget for it. I was going to get a cheaper AOC model one for like $399 but getting the gen 5 OLED panel with the better blacks in light (not turning purple like older gen panels) is very much worth it after watching video comparisons. I was the first one in my family to get an OLED and now my brothers are getting ones too (this exact one actually) and my dad is buying an OLED TV so the that for what you will.

Crazy Blacks, Amazing Value, 100% worth the money
the sweet spot for gaming really is 1440p and 120hz++. This monitor is amazing. I cant really see the differrence in 4K vs 1440 but I can absolutly see just how amazing the image looks on this glossy OLED. I watched Tron - Ares on this monitor and all I can say is wow. The onscreen menu is simple and easy to use. The G-Sync with VRR worked out the box with my 5090. I had two minor problems with the monitor so far. I didnt use the included stand, I have my own vesa mount. And the included vesa mount attachment for the monitor was VERY difficult to get attached. I was hesitant to really press down hard to get this thing to click in becuase I didnt want to damage the monitor. I did get it in but it took way more force than I was comfortable giving. The second is that you will want to do a pixel cleaning out the box. It takes about 6 mins, but my monitor had a weird line accross the middle of the display. It was very noticable. I was worried my display was damaged in shipping but did the pixel cleaning and it went right away. Happy as I can be. The monitor is very bright in SDR. If you flip it to HDR the brightness falls a little bit but not bad. I have opeted to leave mine in SDR for the moment. My final thoughts are that this is a great monitor. With OLED finally coming down to the range of "normal" monitors its a real no brainer. If youre a gamer 4K makes little sense. Youre pushing your GPU so hard to fill those pixels and that costs you FPS. Just get the 1440p OLED and push have as many pixels to have those FPS soar and look at those games through a world class display. You wont be disappointed. In my picture you can see the OLED vs my old LCD. Both of those monitors are on and showing a black screen. \ 0.o /

Asus is always reliable
I had purchased this Monitor as a last second replacement, I previously had a the 34 inch LG curved monitor which was great but gave me dizzyness and headaches and I couldn't use it anymore, I didn't have time to do much research because I needed a new monitor quick I couldn't go long without playing games, I know Asus never disappoints, this monitor had the exact same specs as the LG one both 1440p but somehow this Asus one looks WAY better its noticabley more crisp and vibrant sharper, it looks unreal I assume it's qbecause the glossy display definitely makes a big difference, and it being flat makes it much more easier on the eyes

It's beautiful.
I don't know much about the newer monitors on the market but as someone who used to have a 60hz 1080p monitor, I have been blown away by the smoothness and picture quality of this monitor. Let's just say I won't be changing the monitor any time soon. It may seem a little on the dim side at first, but you can change the brightness, saturation, and contrast to fit your idea of a perfect picture. I stick with the presents that come with the included software (DisplayWidgetCenter). I mainly use FPS preset which will set the monitor to peek brightness, allowing me to examine my environment without losing to the shadows. For everything else I use HDR, which dims the monitor and gives greater contrast to darker images. I have never seen anything so crips outside of my oled iPhone. Overall, a great monitor with easy to use settings, which includes and oled care function. If you have not owned an OLED and are looking, this monitor is a great choice.

Smooth, Clear, and Great for Gaming
I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Strix 27” OLED monitor and it really improves the gaming experience. The 27-inch size feels just right—not too big, not too small—and the wide viewing angles make it easy to see clearly even when I’m not sitting directly in front of it. The 240Hz refresh rate and fast response time make games feel very smooth, and I haven’t had issues with flickering thanks to the built-in tech. The picture quality is excellent, with sharp details and vibrant colors that stand out, and it works well with G-SYNC so everything stays consistent during gameplay. It was simple to connect with both HDMI and DisplayPort, and overall it feels like a solid, high-quality monitor for gaming and everyday use.

Don’t look anywhere also this is the monitor you need.
This is the best monitor out there. It’s worth the money, I decided to finance this 0 interest into a few months and every month I was glad I spent the money on the best quality. Sometimes I watch movies on it just to see those colors pop out but it definitely is the best out there. It should probably be worth $1000 if I’m being honest with any one reading this review. So yes buy it if it means your wife might scream at you and get mad at you it’s worth it all!

Underwhelming Performance
I am not someone who really cares about how bright a monitor gets since I don’t like having any of my screens over 50%. However this is one of the first monitors where it didn’t feel like a different between 40% to 70%. It roughly looked the same overall brightness. The colors are also either dull in sRGB mode or over saturated in the other modes. I ended up having to create my own color mode to be ok with the colors but honestly the colors weren’t better than my Samsung Neo G9 LCD version. The HDR performance was very good though. In HDR the colors look punchy, especially in games and in this situation does look better than my Neo G9. Glossy screen looks amazing. I genuinely believe having a matte OLED display looks worse than a good VA panel. I also don’t think the reflections are bad at all. I haven’t noticed them at all and like I said I already keep my brightness lower than most people and still don’t have any issues. For productivity the text is so blurry. The severity depends on the particular website. In windows based apps like excel or word I think the text is sharp enough not to be distracting. But on many chrome websites the text fringing is absolutely awesome and downright makes using the monitor annoying and is ultimately why I am returning the monitor. I am hoping the 4th WOLED panels will improve this text fringing because it is a major downside for me. I didn’t notice it is games. I think overall this is a good monitor but I genuinely think there are better VA panels and even IPS displays that are better if you don’t actually game in HDR.

Gloss OLED!
If you're here then you should not need any more convincing. Screen is absolutely amazing. Just make sure you don't use Excel on it too often as you'll be disappointed.

Excelente upgrade

Worth getting on sale if possible
As advertised. I bought it on sale (Boxing week)so I am very happy with the quality, for the dollars spent. It looks great, and has all the features mentioned in the description. It looks even a little better than my old 4K LG monitor, and I am not even viewing in HDR mode. The OLED panel does not disappoint. (In my photo the ASUS monitor is the bottom one)

OLED is finally cheap!
Got it on sale for 2150 AED. Been using it for 6 months at max brightness with no regard for burn in (i.e, normal desktop use with tons of static elements). Have yet to see any sign of burn in or dead pixels. Will update this review if such occurs.
