will it get rid of gym clothes smell?

We bought this within the last 2 weeks. We are landlords and had a condo where the person had smoked 9 years inside the unit. Scrubbing, painting top to bottom, spending several hundred dollars to have the HVAC system cleaned did not eliminate the stale smoke smell. We let this ozone generator run continuously for two days and the smell was gone. We are 100% pleased. If it can eliminate our smoke smell, it should handle the gym clothes odor with no problem.

How long do you use it for in a car? Do you run the ventilation system in the car , recirculate, while it’s running?

As for the question about ozone production, the oxygen concertration in the car is pretty enough for the treatment. Also, ozone is extremely reactive, which readily attaches itself to other molecules. When odors, bacteria or viruses meet ozone, oxidation reactions occur and both parties are destroyed. Ozone essentially reverts back to oxygen. Therefore, it's no need to place it outside the car to get more oxygen. We put it inside, close doors and windows, operate for 15-30 minutes per time, and once or twice a week. Yes, we run the ventilation system in the car while it's running. It can also disinfect the air conditioning system. Last but not least, remember to open doors and windows to make sure the remaining ozone is consumed thoroughly before you get back in the car.

I had this same problem and ended up having to buy direct from Home Depot and then picked it up. For whatever reason Amazon wouldn´t ship it to me.
