Useful, but not a great capacity
I have had a few similar banks. Their compactness is great for sticking in a pocket, and while they don't give a full charge for a phone and are not particularly fast in charging, they are so very useful for getting an emergency top-up when out and about, especially since they affix directly to a phone charging port so you can carry on using your phone normally whilst charging.Using an inline dongle to measure throughput, I'm getting 5V and 1.7-1.8A output, so no more than 9W. In terms of capacity, it gave my phone around 3,000mAh, which, accounting for the 3.7V battery rating to 5V, means around 4,000mAh as the nominal capacity. You have to account for losses as well, but it's considerably less than the 5,000mAh headline figure of the description.A couple of useful things compared to others: this has the connector protective cap attached to the bank so you don't lose it, and it also has a foldout 'leg' so you can prop your phone up on a desk while it is charging - the product photos show it being done in "landscape" mode, I can do it in "portrait" mode as well but it's obviously less stable. It's charged up via a USB C port. The charge level is indicated by 4 LED dots - there are some similar compact banks out there which do have a proper LED display showing exact percentage. It comes with a USB A to USB C charging cable, and lanyard which can be fixed to the loop at one end of the band.

Arrived flat and needed a full charge
This power bank arrived totally flat, to the point I thought this was faulty. A charge level led came on when I pressed the button on the rear, but it went out shortly after. Plugged in to my handset and no life. I then plugged onto a charger and still no life. Worrying a little, I left it plugged in for around 20 mins and then a led started blinking slowly.I was too desperate to know if it was working, so plugged into my handset and it stated to charge immediately, hurray. So currently it's still on charge after 2 hours and still flashing, with almost all leds on, so expect a full charge on one of these to be around just over 2 hours on a standard charger, USB A to C.Part way, I decided to test how well it would charge and you'll be able to see the charging level in the image.Max charge output I got was 1730mA, which is pretty good for a small device like this.It plugs in tight and snug and also comes with a lanyard.I'd like to suggest that it simply holds onto the USB C port of your handset which will add quite a lot of strain on the socket in your handset, so try and avoid mis-handling when plugged in and try to be gentle when it's plugged in to avoid any socket damage. It does have a pull out stand so that you can prop your handset up, ideal for watching movies whilst on the train, but as mentioned, avoid the portability when plugged in.Despite this being totally flat, I'm still going to rate this 5 stars as it's a very well built unit, strong and solid built USB C plug and versatile to use.1730
