Awesome computer no problems , performs well I’m able to play path of the exile 1 and 2 run steam vr no problems game all day , it does get hot just use a 7-8 cooling fan cooling dock under lap top , the temperature goes down put it on eco battery reduces heat, great for3d modeling with programs like maya, history photogrammetry software, I love it only downside is the battery life when not plugged into socket, great laptop

MSI delivers a very nice gaming laptop. The picture quality is beautiful and crisp. The refresh rate is very nice. My only complaint so far is that the AC adapter will not stay plugged in. I believe it is a flaw in the design. You literally cannot move it in the least without the AC adapter starting to slide out. If I wanted a desktop that never moves, I'd have bought a desktop. In under a month, I have sent it to the manufacturer to see if they can do anything to fix the fit. At least it is under warranty.

Completely unable to turn the Laptop on after using for only around 10 months- even when it did work it feels like it barely did - constantly have issues mostly it seems due to bloatware downloaded on it and other things like this. Especially this happens with turning on/off the computer and it often will not respond, one thing that happens is that you cant turn the computer on if it is off and charging - you have to unplu it then plug back in once it is on. Oftentimes the internal keyboard or mouse will disconnect, or the computer just freezes. even simple things like playing a youtube video on chrome the computer is not able to do for some reason. it was cheaper than other computers that could handle software like unreal engine and rhino 3D (and to its credit can run those programs ok once it is on and functioning) but is not very reliable so not worth it

The laptop is good. I have been running virtual machine without sweat. Playing games also with ease. The ever responsive interaction. I think AMD RYZEN with the 32 GB RAM with the SSD are well optimized for the great performance im getting and I really appreciate. However, after a year of using,the battery looks like its dead. It cannot sustain power for more than 30 minutes. It drains power so fast sometimes it shuts while it still on. Now i use it always on power.

[Oct 2024] We had an old laptop that died recently and wouldn't be worth repairing, so while the October Prime Days event was on I looked for something that should be somewhat 'future proof' with good specs at a price less than $1000. I picked the MSI Katana A15 AI 15.6” 144Hz FHD Gaming Laptop with the Ryzen 7-9945HS and NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4060, 32Gb RAM, and 1TB SSD. It was on sale for $879 plus tax at the time, which was a really good price for the specs. It has all the ports we need for plugging in different devices, the keyboard feels good, and the screen is bright & crisp with a 144Hz refresh rate that keeps up with the busiest action scenes in games and movies. The screen is a bit more 'letter box' shape than I'd really like, but that's the only thing I can find to whine about. It's a bit heavy compared to some, but that isn't an issue for us. It runs all our small business office and accounting software silently, without the cooling system kicking in at all. The only time it cools itself is when playing graphic intensive games, and IMHO the fan noise isn't bad at all. Most of the time it sits on a multi fan cooling pad, but even without that turned on the laptop never gets particularly hot. All in all, it was a great deal, so if it's on sale for less than $900 again, snap it up. Even at around $1050 I think it's still a worthy contender.

Llego en tiempo y forma, es muy buena compra. Especialmente si la ocupas para, arquitectura, ingeniería o gaming. Un punto en contra es su peso, y que es 100% de plástico a diferencia de la ROG Strix 16" y por el precio la Katana ya debería de tener aluminio. Procesador: Ryzen 7 Gráfica: 4060 8GB VRAM

Muy buenas especificaciones. No he tenido ningún inconveniente en este primer mes de uso. Funciona súper rápido con programas como Revit Autocad y Twinmotion. El único detalle es que en algunas ocasiones siento que se sobrecalienta mas de lo que debería y la batería prácticamente no rinde mucho. Si está en oferta súper recomendable

COMPRÉ ESTA COMPUTADORA EN JULIO 2024 Y PARA NOVIEMBRE 2024 YA LA HE TENIDO QUE MANDAR A REPARACIÓN PORQUE SE PONE EN PANTALLA AZUL 2 VECES, Y CADA VEZ SE TARDAN 1 MES EN REPARARLA. NO LA COMPREN. 30K QUE NO VOLVERÁN
