Wanted value not headaches
Bought this to replace a leaking waterpump on 2018 Chevy Trax. I installed the pump AND the new included thermostat. After finishing the installation the vehicle is now throwing various DTCs related to the thermostat ( the vehicle DID NOT HAVE ANY DTCs prior to installing the new pump/ thermostat.I suspect the new thermostat is defective since I HAVE rechecked all work performed including ALL electrical connectors and connections. Frustrating to say the least. It's not a real difficult job but replacing the pump/thermostat DOES have its quirks. I am NOT an ASE certified tech but I didn't just fall off the turnip repair truck either I have been repairing vehicles successfully for MANY years and know what I'm doing. I debated going with an OEM pump which comes as an "ala carte" purchase so I took a chance on this "pump kit" for its convenience and good reviews so in that respect it showed that I'm not a professional technician just a value-minded amateur. Now I can go back out in this heat and replace the obviously bad /inop thermostat. LIVE and LEARN. I will be contacting the seller for some kind of compensation for the bad thermostat.(since I got a partially defective product I feel I should at least recieve a replacement thermostat)I will update this review when and if the issue is resolved.

Well it's still working for now buy bearing made a noise from day one, you get what you pay for, I'd spend the extra and get a quality brand next time, but if u can afford it and this is all you can get for the price it's okay just expect a noise from the bearing
