Highly recommended. - I have a telecom background (wireless, fiber, commercial AV, etc.) with over 30 years of experience with both consumer and professional electronics. Over time I’ve grown pretty skeptical of most consumer-grade gear — they usually disappoint me because my expectations are set by their claims, and too often they fall short of their own assertions. I’m also from a small town in New England, so I’m naturally wired to look for flaws. It’s cultural. Try ordering anything more complicated than “light and sweet” at a Dunkin’ anywhere along the Northeast Corridor and you’ll understand what I mean. With that said, I only leave glowing reviews when a product truly earns it. This one earns it. Size: It’s big. If that surprises you, I don’t know what to tell you — maybe your dad never made you hold the tape measure during one of his 90% complete home projects. Mounting it may take some planning, but that should be obvious. Power: In my car, the accessory outlet turns off 30–60 seconds after shutdown. Even after sitting a week, no battery drain. As soon as I unlock the car, the unit powers on and connects to my iPhone 17 Pro Max via CarPlay by the time I sit down. This automatic behavior actually works well and doesn’t annoy me — which is rare. CarPlay Performance: Syncs quickly and reliably. The only MINOR issues I noticed: * The settings menu button overlaps with the forward/music skip button when you have certain apps (like Calendar view added) Not ideal but workable. With no events the Calendar does not show, or just delete from the stack in your phone settings for CarPlay (SEE PHOTO) * The touchscreen isn’t the most sensitive I’ve used. It’s not terrible, just occasionally a bit laggy. I waited almost a year before buying because I expected disappointment and a painful return process. I’m happy to say this unit exceeded my expectations. Setup was simple, audio routing works great, and my phone no longer sits in direct sunlight getting hot. (Note: I didn’t install the rear camera, so I can’t speak to that.) Bottom line: This is one of the best consumer electronics purchases I’ve made in a long time. Highly recommended.

Outstanding product and incredible value. I was honestly expecting a few glitches or connection issues since it’s not the market leader (like Chigee) for the BMW R 1300 GS and costs almost half as much. Installation was seamless—it fit perfectly on the BMW GPS mount and was truly plug-and-play. I put it through a real test on a 2,100-mile trip, and it performed flawlessly the entire time: zero random disconnects, no overheating (which my iPhone often struggles with), and excellent performance in the rain. For the price, the reliability and performance exceeded my expectations. I’m extremely happy with it and would absolutely recommend it.

I have a 2020 Ford Transit XLT Cargo Van with the factory nav system, that has wired car play android auto capability. The in car USB ports have failed more than once and the experience was still sluggish and unreliable. I added this. It sits with an extended mount directly above the original display from the windshield. The configuration completely eliminated view of any wires and looks very professional and is functional as well. Everything goes through android auto through my phone wirelessly and the Bluetooth audio and phone calls still use the cars built in Bluetooth. All steering wheel controls work. You can also use the existing screen to make phone calls and still adjust tracks and music. Cheaper than getting it fixed again. Now more reliability with more features like wireless connectivity. You can keep your phone in your pocket and it just works. Spotify and maps resume. The camera records video constantly unless powered down. The unit will not power down on its own unless your accessory socket goes dead when you turn off the car. Manually turning it on and off should you choose is a non issue. It boots and connects in 5 - 10 seconds max. Greatly exceeded my expectations. Was intended to be a compromise but the end result was the opposite. I got the best of both now. If you have an AUX jack or even my dad uses the FM connectivity in his car I. The Chicago metropolitan area. I am an audio snob, very particular to sound. It passed my test. In the past FM modulation was terrible. I don't know what they did here. Impressive.

I bought this for my old non-smart 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo. I was skeptical, but it works great for CarPlay . I’m knocked off a star because the dash adhesive tape the mount base came with didn’t hold. I ended up purchasing a different base.
