Used them to mount a heavy shelf. Our house is old and the plaster is basically dust at this point so we needed something heavy duty. These longer plugs get right into the brick and secured the shelf perfectly. Really easy to use. Great idea with the metal inserts ensures the screw doesn’t deviate. Screws seem to be tough and great quality. Highly recommended

I've previously used Rigifix and DrylinePro fixings to install fixtures to dryline walls. Rigifix are more useful for a couple of mounts for a tv with hefty 8mm fixings. DrylinePro work well with the way they also nicely screw into the plasterboard, but they're not as long as these (only 75mm) so if you've a large gap there is less screw in the wall. With the IKEA Boaxel shelving I needed about 40 fixings so I bought two packs of these. However the problem with the IKEA Boaxel solution is that you are limited to a 8mm screw head, that's all that will fit through the rail. You can't widen the rail to take the 10mm head from these fittings. So I spent ages searching for a similar screw that had was M5 but with a 8mm head. I finally found these SPAX small head screws. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BTG3SNA/ They're super expensive at 40p a screw but they worked in these fittings great. Although IKEA say to use a pan head not a countersunk head screw, they worked okay with the smaller coundersunk head screw. I followed the advice from another reviewer and used a 8mm hammer drill to make the initial hole and widened it carefully with a 10mm bit. Out of 40 fittings I managed to break 2 completely having to remove them from the wall when they didn't fit in flush. A further 2 were about 2-3mm out just due to the difficulty drilling perfect holes with a hammer drill. Note also they do stick out from the wall slightly more than dryline pro (you end up with about 1.5mm sticking out, but this is fine with the IKEA Boaxel shelving rails). I also had contacted the manufacturer to ask for small head screw recommendations but didn't get a response.

These work really well, I used these to hang a 66kg radiator on a thermolite block wall with dot and dab , they are solid and no problems

Excellent product. I bought the dab and dot core fix rawl plugs and screws as I had experienced problems with fixing anything of weight onto my walls. These come with a metal core which not only guides the screw across the gap between plaster board and wall but also bridges it. A really good product, I highly recommend it.

Amazing easy instal! If you want to hang your tv that’s what you look for! Bit pricy but looks like you could hang yourself on those!
