World History Timeline Poster - 5,000 Years of History (84x119cm)

This is one of the most powerful learning tools I've come across. Most children are highly visual learners, but schools move away from this method to text only rote learning. This map brings the world to life with it's 3000 year timeline, so that we can compare movements of peoples, where knowledge first emerged in the world etc. Importantly, it doesn't wash any cultures from view, so the timelines from Ancient Africa, their contributions to science, metallurgy etc, can be seen. Indigenous peoples of Australasia can also be seen. It's a great global schema for placing context around learning. You can probably tell that I'm very pleased with it.

I was looking for something for my children to help them to locate things they learn at school in their historical context. Well this poster is quite amazing and I really wish I had one when I was in high school. Also impressive how it conveys historical and geographical contexts at the same time (including showing migrations of ancient people through different continents)

Arrived well packaged in a tube. I recommend that you carefully unravel it on a carpet, then use the tube to roll it the reverse way and hold it in that position for a few hours. Helps to straighten it out. If you try and hang it up straight off, it 100% will crease and make a mess.

Hi, package good but despite of that a corner was slightly folded. Not a serious damage. A minor negative note: this is about the Italian Maritime Republics (Genoa and Venice were very much like small empires and have brought a relevant contribute to the civilization), they are not marked at all, just a number of thin lines in Italy with a label like "Small Italian States". Enough? Furthermore: There is continuity between the "original" Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire: from the picture it seems this is another domination (colour turned from orange to blue), I'do not fully agree on this. FInally, this is a fantastic product for very passionate people. Ciao.

I bought four different versions at the same time, each covered a different timeframe or had different features. This is my favorite. Excellent quality and stuffed with information. Covers recorded history (i.e., documentable). The beginning of civilization. I mounted it by buying a sheet of house foam insulation for fifteen bucks and a spray can of area adhesive (rubber cement?) Whatever you do, have someone help you and DO NOT get glue or solvent on the front. Ink will come off. There are other maps that record pre-history, typically evolutionary maps. But for all of civilization and recorded human history, this is the best I've found.

Interessante Informationen, gute Druckqualität und hochwertig verarbeitet. Eine deutsche Version wäre noch wünschenswert und eine gleichmäßige Aufteilung der zeitlichen Achse (gleichemäßige Abstände der Zeiteinheiten) sicherlich visuell auch interessant, aber sonst top.
