This is a great carrier oil. Broke my distal fibula ( near ankle), used this with my comfrey oil etc and have been healing above par. One caution is that it does cause a mild skin irritation, when used as much as I did ( daily for a month). I just heavy hydrated the area and all is well

Works well but no where on the packaging does it say pharmaceutical grade as it does here on Amazon description title. May keep looking for a legit pharmaceutical grade

I found this product very useful. I used a 50:50 solution, half DMSO and half distilled water in a sanitized glass bottle with dropper. To avoid the potential garlicky odor, I added 3 drops of organic lavender essential oil to the 4 ml bottle. I did not have any trouble with odor after that. When mixing the solution, ensure all objects are sanitized. When adding water to the DMSO, the glass bottle heated up. This is a chemical reaction. The heat dissipates after a little while. It was easy to use with the glass bottle and dropper. I applied just enough to cover the area and then applied my other medication. Applying to the skin initially caused a slight itchy feeling that wasn’t unbearable and went away within 5-10 minutes of application. When using, make sure your hands are clean (don’t use gloves) and the area where it is to be applied is also clean. After applying, ensure the area can dry completely before allowing anything else to come in contact with the application site. DMSO does increase absorption into the skin of whatever comes into contact with it. So the chemicals in your clothing from laundry detergent and dryer sheets will also be absorbed if you immediately place clothing on top. It enhanced the effects of medicinal creams I had to use and treatment was much more effective than with the creams alone. The only downside I’ve found is that it does affect my thyroid levels about a week into use. After discontinuing use, thyroid levels returned to my baseline after a few weeks. But, given how quickly my other malady improved, I found it a worthwhile trade off for a temporary increase in TSH.

Absolutely amazing stuff! After severe knee injury, an MRI which showed 4 serious issues and being told I needed surgery, I begged for physical therapy first and the ortho doc agreed but gave it no chance. PT did not help much (as the doc expected) but after a few sessions, I decided to try DMSO which I applied liberally daily. Within a few days it was improved to the point that I wasn’t in constant pain. After a few more PT sessions I cancelled the rest as I did not need more! My doctor is amazed and I no longer need surgery!!!

If you believe the literature, DMSO can be an amazing treatment for many, many ailments. Search for A Midwestern Doctor for more detailed information. It has an odor and taste - that is unavoidable, but I’m very pleased with this particular DMSO. I’ve purchased it at least 4 times.

I purchased this because my acupuncturist suggested it could be useful for treating dry eye when mixed with normal saline and I have found that to be so, in my case. I also use it for sciatica and have found it to be beneficial for that as well. The purity and quality of the product were a good match for the price. My only complaint is that the pipette had no millimeter markings and so I had to switch it out with a leftover one from another brand. But, that aside, I would recommend the product.
