I've done all the checks but my desk has stopped after just over a month - it is on just won't go up or down. Any ideas of what to do?

My desk is not moving up. I tried switching on and off multiple times. No change. The desk top doesn’t seem to move but the light is on. Any idea what I should do?

How unstable would the aluminum desk be without the lower crossbar? Worried that I would be hitting my knees in the lower crossbar.

The aluminum desk was sold out and not available since last year. We are selling the steel desk and it doesn't have the lower crossbar.

Once assembled, can this be unassembled easily as well? any specific tools required for disassemble? please advise. tia
