Couldn't be happier - replaces the flimsy tripod that came with my microphone
My Fifine USB microphone originally came with a base that appears identical to the Neewer Desktop Foldable Tripod Stand also sold on Amazon. That unit was somewhat lighter and smaller, but it also had an annoying tendency to topple over at the slightest provocation. Worse, it fell apart on me a couple of times, and the last time the single short self-tapping screw has stripped the threads in the soft plastic top section - irreparable. To replace that earlier flimsy stand, I ordered this one, also from Neewer, and I couldn't be happier with what I've received. Though still a small foldable stand that will not be a problem to carry around in my backpack when I need to, this "Iron Mini" stand is a solid sturdy device that supports my microphone securely and also provides some vertical adjustment. It costs a couple of bucks more, but I am very happy with my purchase.

Perfect for MV7 or similar mics... Not a mic stand, but a Mic Tank!
Fits and holds my MV7 perfectly. This is the perfect Mic stand if you have a high desk or take into account the size of the mic. The tripod goes from 5 to 7.5 inches, so take that into account. I use it on the lowest setting because my desk almost reaches my chest when seated, but it could be a lower desk since you can extend it.I expected a 90% plastic construction but it is the other way around. This is not a mic stand but a mic TANK!!! Full metal tripod, and could definitely fit a Mic twice as heavy and big.Don't hesitate if you need a small tripod for your desk setup THIS is the one.

Doesn't work with TLM 102
The stand is solid, compact and nice but if you have a heavy TLM 102 mic like me, this stand will not hold the mic.

Good Product. I would recommend.
Super sturdy.

Sturdier than expected
It has some decent weight to it, the feet can be locked in place, I use it to support a Blue Yeti and a 3Dio, both rather heavy, sizeable mics, and it's doing great. Would be great if they made a round base version of it thats around same height!

Good value stand but depending on your mic you might need to buy separate adapter for the screw.
I've bought one and it does feel pretty sturdy for the price so over all I'm happy. I would like to add though it could have come with an adapter even if that meant being an extra £. It has a 5/8 inch male screw but my mic holder has a 3/8 inch female so now I have to find an adapter for it. Still a good value stand though.

Small, solid, and very sturdy.
We bought this tripod to replace the original that came with a USB mic for the computer. The mic was great but the tripod was small, with very flimsy legs and hard to adjust. It eventually broke. The Neewer tripod is what should have been included from the start. We are very happy with it's solid construction and stability. We don't have to worry about the mic falling over and breaking. Would definitely recommend this tripod.

Amazing...depending on your mic.
I just receive this about an hour ago, and whilst some are saying the quality is mixed, mine is built very well, and pretty robust. It does what it needs to and does it well. The only problem I have is that it all depends on what mic you have mounted, and this affects the stand on whether it tips over or not. It's not the stand's fault, but just something to be aware of . I have a Rode NT1 with a shock mount currently attached to the stand. It is between my laptop and monitor stand (see photo) so it deters any possible tip overs. As you can see, with the shockmount the weight is unevenly distributed. This mic is propably more suited with a tradictional mic stand, or a mic arm of some sort, but I wanted minimal space usage.Overall, I am pleased with this stand, and would recommend you evaluate what mic you will mount on there prior to buying. Can't go wrong with the price though.
