A Wonderful Read!
I read this book and gained so much from it. It’s a brave book to write, but the author’s honesty shines through every word. It’s a very real book, with a lot of heart. I thoroughly recommend it!

A remarkable book
Having seen Suzie Fletcher on the Repair Shop, this memoir was a revelation. She has always seemed a charming, calm, beautiful person - and so she is.However, she has arrived at this through an extraordinary life. Going to work in America when she was young, falling in love and marrying swiftly to a man who turned out to be a coercive controller, makes for an unputdownable read. How this marriage progressed and ended also is very moving. Thoroughly recommended

Strength and vulnerability go hand in hand
Suzie Fletcher has written a heartwarming and heartbreaking book, both at the same time. She is a multi skilled human being and her fragility and vulnerability as well as her strength of character shine through. You can see this on the Repair Shop as she empathises with all who require her very special skills. I couldn't put the book down. Well done Suzie, this definitely isn't a pity party book but shows just how strong we can really be when faced with adversity. Now I know why I've always loved watching this lovely lady on TRS.

Warning this book deals with domestic violence
She is a great writer and her story is an interesting one. However be warned there is a lot about domestic abuse/ violence. I wasn’t ready for that I thought her time in the US was all happy. If that is not a trigger for you good read on but if it is I wanted you to know.
