Purchased 2 for our kids. 7&6 yrs old. Our 6 yrs old son was uncomfortable with regular mask with a mouth piece and ended up not snorkeling last yr. I gave this mask a chance and....he couldn’t stop. Our daughter as well which was quite expected but for our son, tmask gets all the credits! Easy to breathe and both kids (totally not trained for snorkeling) could had stayed on the surface of water for a long time. So long that I got worried if they were ok lol. I help her with water therapy at our indoor pool and she had been responding well to therapy using a purge mask and snorkel, but had difficulty trying to speak to us because the snorkel was in her mouth. We watch her like hawks when she is face-down and we take very frequent breaks so I wasn't concerned about the reports of carbon dioxide buildup.
