I just received this today and washed my German Shepherd who only gets occasional baths (he doesn’t need them often). The shampoo we use on our beagle doesn’t work as well for the GSD. This works well. It is super easy to apply with the elongated dispensing tip, and gets into the undercoat. It lathers well, and rinses clean. It does seem to condition also, as when he dried his coat was shiny and and smooth. Not greasy or any residue. I washed him in our garden tub with a hand held shower head if that helps to understand the technique I used. The scent wasn’t strong, which was nice - he doesn’t smell like perfume. I’m not sure I like the scent it does have, but it’s so mild unless you stick your nose in his fur it’s not too noticeable- and I have a fairly strong sniffer. All in all, I will buy this again. Even used it on thr beagle and it worked well on his fur and skin. He needs baths more often due to skin allergies - so it’s nice to have an option that is all in one so every bath isn’t a full production.

I took a chance on reviews when looking for a good, deshedding shampoo and I'm glad I did. My dog's groomer said she loved this shampoo and it does a wonderful job of deshedding, loosening up that undercoat that a German Shepherd has, leaving my girl looking, and smelling wonderful. There was no skin reaction or anything that would discourage me from another purchase. The white tea and basil scent is so earthy and natural, not anything near a perfume scent. I recommend this product as a great shampoo if you're looking for one.

I have to be super careful about what I use on my boy because of his skin allergies. This shampoo worked like magic. His hair was so soft and shiny afterwards. There was no itching and scratching. The smell is very light and pleasant. Great value for what you pay. Will definitely buy again.

I have a german shepherd and this product works great. I’ve heard other reviews say their dogs smell great for days-weeks after using it but I found that the shampoo didn’t leave a smell on him other than freshly out of the bath which I don’t mind at all but it more so neutralized his odor which is what its advertised to do. So if you want something more fragrant maybe this isn’t for you or you could try pairing it with their sprays. With more fragrant shampoos I’ve used on my dog I found him itching a lot but he doesn’t do that after I use this. I can’t say much on detangling or adding shine and softness because my dog gets brushed daily and he already has shiny soft fur but I’m sure it would work great. This product actually felt like it was cleaning him unlike other dog shampoos I’ve used and it definitely fluffed him up better too. It lathers really nicely as well as rinses easily and the nozzle is a really nice touch. I’m absolutely buying it again and recommending it to everyone I know who has dogs.

The shampoo is good, no strong smells which is good. I did notice after about a year that the remaining product hardened and became unusable. It seems the shampoo detached from the conditioner and the conditioner was all that was left at the bottom. It would probably be a good idea to shake it well before using.

Smells good! Just right! Not too strong and smells natural! A little bit goes a LONG way! It was amazing at the end of a very thorough bath, how very little it had required! So happy I bought and will definitely purchase again! Made good suds! Fur felt so incredibly soft after! Skin appeared much better after only one use! Bought for shedding reduction and wound up with better skin!

I have been grooming my dog (mini Australian Shepherd) for the last few years and thought the shampoos I used were doing a good job; I wasn’t getting the same results as when I used to take him to a professional groomer but figured I wasn’t cutting enough hair off. BOY WAS I WRONG - the PROBLEM was the shampoos I was using weren’t getting enough of his “dead”/shed but not released hair off!! I brushed my dog pre bath and thought I got a lot of the shed off. I put him in the bath, let him soak in some water, then took the hand held sprayer to really saturate his double coat with water. I applied the Double Coat shampoo directly to his skin and on top of his coat. Within seconds I see clumps of hair releasing from his coat! I decided to wet him a little more after applying the shampoo to get a better lather and then went with a wide tooth comb to work the product from roots to ends; even more hair was coming out. I honestly got a little scared by the amount of hair coming out so after a few minutes I decided to focus on rinsing the product out. I could immediately notice a difference in the texture of his fur after it was rinsed - it felt so clean!!! I did quickly use his normal conditioner on the top layer of his fur, rinsed, and began the drying process. As his fur started to dry I felt how soft, light, and airy it was - I haven’t achieved this level of results ever; only the groomers were able to do this. As I was drying his hair I noticed even more dead undercoat come blowing out with the dryer too! End result, my dog looks amazing and honestly seems happier - I wish I would’ve known about this product sooner!!! As for the smell, I liked the smell, I can see how some folks say that it is a little strong but that’s only while the product is in the fur, once it’s washed out it fades away but my dog still smells fresh 24 hours later. TLDR: groomer quality shampoo, will continue to purchase although I feel I will get quite a few washes out of this bottle. My dog looks (and I can tell feels) like a million bucks! Wish I would’ve known about this shampoo sooner. If you have a dog with a double coat - BUY THIS NOW!

I've tried a few other brands before purchasing this one. I'm very happy with the consistency of the shampoo, the bottle was easy to squeeze, the shampoo lathered nicely and I didn't need to use alot of product on my 90lb golden. My dog's coat looks and feels so soft and smooth. We brushed before and after the bath and it appears to have done a nice job of cleaning up the undercoat. It also has a nice subtle scent. I will purchase this again.

Earth rated did it again! We are long time Earth Rated poo bag users. Fell in love with the toys, bought them all and my dog has not been able to ruin any!! And now this. My dog has a split coat aka he is always dropping hair. I vacuum twice a day brush him almost daily but that only keeps it in check but he's still shedding nonstop. So now Earth Rated makes grooming products. Tried the spray and loved it. So I had to try the shampoo. I have never seen my dog lose so much hair when bathing and even more after he was done! I was worried for a little, what did I just use on my dog ...am I going to have a hairless dog? About 30 hours after his bath bring us until now. As I pet my pup who is softer then he has ever felt, not bald and when I went to vacuum this evening I found less than half of what I usually pick up!! If you have a dog that sheds you need this in your life!

Great shampoo. Our double coated sheltie did great with this shampoo. Smell was lovely and not over powering and lasted a couple of days. Easy to rinse out. I premix it with water and then soak him with the solution. He loved the bath and then had a nice rest afterward.
