Now I have clean power and a clean, organized install with all the excess wire hidden away and zip-tied together to keep it from tangling or getting unorganized in its hiding spot. In the images I have, I had not installed the amp rack yet. In fact it's not even built yet but I will be building it soon. I will probably need decently thick wood however, this amp is nearly 2 feet long and 3 quarters of a foot wide and about two inches tall, and made of a combination of the metal and whatever else, and weighs a decent amount. I did a self-check on the power and I got mine to do about 950-1000 watts RMS per channel (bridged at 1ohm, stable), and it pounds. I'm using a single Sundown 12" E-12 D4 dual voice-coil (500w RMS per coil, so about 1000w total--and Sundowns are known for being very underrated) and it fits the sub perfectly and pushes it hard. Very noticeable difference between my $200 - 400w Rockford Fosgate. In fact, my Rockford Fosgate amp is old and would cut out on me, going into protect (just because it was old and the original owner must have done something to make it unstable) after about half volume even with the gains completely down, and a good ground, and at 4 ohms per channel and with everything else down. Overall, AWESOME amp. And a huge amp for its price. So depending on what kind of rms wattage is needed for the speakers that you are getting it might not work for you. I was running Infinity 6x9s and infinity six and a half with the 4 ohm subwoofer a Rockford fosgate r1. The subwoofers rated at 150 watt RMS and I had no problems with it but I upgraded to a Rockville dual 4 ohm subwoofer running at 2 ohms recommended at 600 w RMS and I cannot power the amp more than halfway on the game without it going into protection mode mode because of overheating. If you decide to bridge your 6x9. This amplifier will not work for you this is why I recommend getting a separate four channel Rockville amplifier. For the 6x9s and a separate Rockville amp for the subwoofer. The amp is a good amp for the price it depends on what kind of sound you are looking for and how loud. I have been installing my own car audio since 1996. This amp went into my daily driver 2004 Trailblazer. The stock radio was trash, only one speaker worked. I installed a Sony XAV-AX8000 head unit and kicker 6.5 coaxials in all 4 doors. It was decent. At least all four speakers worked. I've never been a huge fan of Sony head units? But I got a great deal on it. I decided to grab up this 5 channel amp after watching an amp dyno video on YouTube. It seemed like it would fit the bill nicely to power my 6.5"s and a single 12" sub. I literally just finished installing the amp, the subwoofer isn't even installed yet. I'm hearing sound quality that I would easily compare to my JL amps that are installed in my other vehicle. I had a Hertz 4 channel a few years back and this really reminds me of it. If you set the gains properly, you don't try to destroy your speakers with it, and have at least a moderate level of knowledge in car audio install? (Clean ground, power down one side of the vehicle, signal down the other, properly sized copper wire for power) You'll be super impressed by the sound quality of this amp. My front stage (front area of the vehicle) is superb and this is only a daily driver. I can't speak to longevity just yet? But I'll definitely update the review in 6 months or so. For the price though? This amp is a complete beast. Completely satisfied with this purchase. Update: Hooked up the subwoofer which is a shallow mount 12" single voice coil, in a .7 cubic foot box currently. Not ideal for an SUV? But it still sounds robust and full. The amp has no issue pushing this 450w RMS sub, and I only have the gain set to about a quarter of the dial. This really is an impressive amp!
