I recently got into 3D design because i wanted to get better at making specifications for parts and plans. It was so overwhelming to try and use these softwares on my own. This little gem takes one stress away which is navigation. It does take some work to understand the feel, there are options to change the direction preferences. Once you get it though it allows you to focus more on designing and learning. It's well built, and connects flawlessly to multiple softwares. Currently using it on FreeCAD, Blender and Fusion 360, all I have to do is turn it on and it instantly works.

As of July 13, 2026: It worked flawlessly out of the box on the latest macOS Tahoe (26.5.2) on and M1 MacBook Pro. Without any workarounds, it worked on FreeCad 1.1.1, Blender 5.1.2, and BabuStudio 2.7.1.62. I installed it while connected through USB-C, then I switched to Bluetooth, and it just kept working as expected. During the installation I did all the restarting, and the permissions, and everything the installer asked for.

Essential for cad/cam. Plug and play with fusion 360. Saves so much time and frustration with moving your model around. Heavy base, comes with a case, and easy to use.

Absolute game changer in Autodesk Inventor. Love the build quality; The base has some good mass to it and it does not slide around on a bare desk. Took about a day of use for the controls to become fluid/natural...now modeling without it seems cumbersome.

Great for exoCAD and all my dental CAD work. I thought it would be hard to learn to control it but within a couple of days it was second nature.

I’ve been using drafting software since the early 90s and when I discovered the SpaceMouse about 10+ years ago I never looked back. Just ordered my 2nd one because I want one at home and one at work. Game changer for 3D modeling.

It's a pretty cool tool but the learning curve is super steep. People rarely use their left hand to operate a pointing device. It has the potential to accelerate your workflow but you will lose productivity as you learn how to use it. The push pool or up and down movement of the knob is not as responsive as I will like sometimes I would push down the knob and it was super slow to move the 3D object on the screen even though I had set the sensitivity to a high level. The price is also a factor... it's pretty overpriced for what it is I would recommend sticking to a mouse

This is my first space mouse. I should have bought one years ago. It's built so solidly, the software works very well. It makes 3D cad so much easier. I do wish the driver was more versatile, but for a professional's tool, it's so very well done. I like the smaller unit for desk space, but I'm not a full time designer so I value the space over the keyboard. I don't even use the two buttons on it to their full potential, but mapping one to be a ctrl for Solidworks is a gamechanger. If you CAD a lot, just get it. Or build your own. Either way.

The price is absurd but this thing changes the game if you do frequent CAD work. It's great.
