To start and get straight to the point lol, These snips are compact and comfortable in your hand, what's important in scissors and snips is the straightness and thickness of the blades, these are straight and very thick, no flex at all, they cut paper, card, plastic sheet, and with encouragement plastering corner beads, these really are heavy duty scissors and snips. They have a hidden spring in the nut and bolt and there's a lock mechanism on the end of the handle, people say "it gets in the way when using" but I found that you squeeze the handles together and it pops unlocked and then it can be slid into the rear of its handle and press to firmly seat it there out of the way, you will feel the click as it locks away. then simply use the little hook and pull out, squeeze the handles in the closed position and press the hook back into the other handle, feel the click as it locks and wallah, into the drawer or tool box and all sorted. I think these are on for £15 which I now feel are well worth it, but I saw a flash sale of less than a tenner and went for it, good move, I used them just today to trim some thick plastic, for spreaders, filling holes, cut through no problem. There's a wire cutter of which I only tried on stainless steel 1.7 mm cable and it wasn't perfect, tough stuff though, and they cut through but left a strand or two, not an issue for me as I didn't want them for that use, just an extreme test. These are good value for money and work very well and on the offer an awesome bargain. I wrote this review because I saw some reviews where people were having a problem using the lock and I think they hadn't realised it locks away. Hope it helps. Happy (whatever) day.

These are great cutters that can cut very soft cloth thread as well as Braid fishing line, of course they cut through pretty much anything else as well, within reason. No good at cutting electrical cable, I have cable cutters, but thought I would try these just to see if they would cut it. Because these are so sharp and the blades quite long, as well as the power that can be applied, users should always be aware of what the blades are going to cut. Keep your fingers out of the way.

The snips are excellent and cut cleanly and through some tough materials with relative ease. The only issue is the retaining clip, when cutting through hard materials the clip engages and locks the snips. The only solution is to tape them back during use or keep releasing between cuts.

I bought these for snipping bottles when litter picking. So they can be drained. The safety catch can be fiddly to open when wearing gloves. Quality product and a good price.

Cut just about anything.

Can’t rate these highly enough. Razor sharp, strong and keeps its edge. My second set. I broke the first trying to cut something I should have used pliers for. Really top quality cutters

I saw these on YouTube and really wanted to try them, they are not too expensive but are very good quality. As a heating engineer, use them daily from cut label to pipe insulation and they do it all. I have another pair on order for a different tool bag. Highly recommended.

I have bought these before locally about 3 or 4 years ago and they're still going strong very sharp so I decided to get another pair for gardening these are excellent shears/snips they made a titanium and they have never rusted for me which is a great plus considering many other scissors and Snips and shears do I've tried many so I know I recommend these the price is fantastic also
