I am refinishing all my kitchen cabinets, and I am on my second bottle of lift off! for being a Water Based product it works fantastic and the Smell isn't unbearable as you have with most solvent VOCs. being water based it is also easier to rinse off and clean up.

I bought this product to strip varnish off a 110-year old door. It removed a shade of the varnish but not by no means got the substance off. I ding this product one star for not having made clear that it will not work for older varnishes, such as the one I was trying to remove (which may not have been water-borne). I ding it another star for the odor, which was quite unpleasant (like a very strong nail polish remover), and not "low odor" by any means. I ended up buying and finishing the job with another "eco-stripper" that was better and cheaper, with much less odor, too. If you're stripping an old varnish, go for an eco stripper that uses dimethyl-adipate. It will work much better than this acetone-based one.

!.) Non toxic 2) easy to use 3) works good and 4) easy clean up. Have no clue why other people rated it so low. ( ? ) It works fine for my jobs. Of course, some finishes are difficult to strip and may have to use this product multiple times. But hey, I was doing the same with the highly toxic strippers also but this is much safer.
