I have used an epilator on my legs for years. I know what they should feel like. I got this one for facial hair expecting it to be gentle like the product description said. It is NOT gentle. It felt like some was hitting my face.

Epilators of this shape and size are best for removing facial peach fuzz and those pesky whiskers around the lip and chin. I have used several of them but this one, which is rechargeable AND can be used while still plugged in, is exactly what I wanted. It is stronger than the others.Some products claim to remove hair but in fact cut it, like a single head electric razor. This is NOT a razor. It does not shave. It tugs at the hair and pulls it out. Don't press too hard or for too long.Some think that shaving causes the hair to get thicker. While that is not true, it does make it appear thicker and sharper when you or someone else strokes your face after using a razor. Hair starts out thin from the root and as it pushes through the skin. If you shave it, then you have cut off the thin tip of the hairs and are left with a rough chin, especially as it grows out unless you shave every day.An Epilator pulls it out by the root, so as it grows the tip is thinner and softer as it pokes through the skin. You don't need to use it as often as it takes longer to grow from the root than from shaving it at the skin.I have a full sized epilator my legs. But this is best for the face.

It works ok.

The buyer is admonished to read the 9-page user manual in detail, but it is printed in the smallest print I've ever seen. Why not use a more readable font size. If this is a joke, it's not funny. I wish I'd selected a different product.

She loved the gift. My intention is for her to help with numbness in her jaw from bad dentistry. She will use the other settings for beauty.
