“Best Experienced Through the Audiobook”
⭐ 3.5 | 🌶️ 4 Josh is the perfect “if he wanted to, he would” golden retriever boyfriend. I loved Aly’s strong and confident personality. The audiobook, narrated by Jacob Morgan, truly brought the story to life — it made the whole reading experience so much better!

Aly’s guilty pleasure literally broke into her house and changed her life for the better... What more can we want from a book? It's hot & spicy with a thrilling edge. Add in the morally grey stalker MMC, Josh, who somehow still gives golden retriever energy despite his background, profession, and side hustle (🥵). The way the characters are written? Perfection. The way the story unfolds? Addictive. And Fred’s arc? Chef’s kiss. 😻🔪💀 If you don’t mind a little gore & murder and love a good dark romance with a lot of kink, this one is right up your alley. 💫

That is my kind of dark romance
When I say I love dark romance...this is the type of book I'm talking about. I loved the humor, how Aly and Josh went in opposite direction of some old cliches and miscommunications tropes. I didn't know I could even like a stalker book, but this one was so well done, careful, vulnerable and even made sense...that I loved it. Also in a way Josh was a stalker with some moral compass and Aly was really down to it. Some of the sex scenes aren't really my cup of tea, but they were creative, full of consent and out of the box. Which made me still like reading about them. Truly, I will always be sold to romcom dark romance like this one. And I'm so happy that I managed to have a five star book rating before the year ended. Obs.: there were some minor things that troubled me like: there was no talk about a STI's test and not much of bigger interactions with other people like: Aly developing a more meaningful friendship or more pages about Josh with Tyler or his mom.
