My husband was in an accident, fractured pelvis, three surgeries later. He’s in a wheelchair and this transfer board is fantastic! It helps from everything from getting in the car to getting into the bench in the shower not to mention the bed. Made extremely well and strong.

*Edit - Here we are, a little over three years later and, I have to say, my slide board is still in perfect condition, the finish allows for easy an sliding transfer and it has no problem whatsoever supporting my ever-increasing weight. I'm no longer able to get myself to any kind of standing position so there's no way I could possibly transfer from my recliner to my power wheelchair without this, (or something like it, obviously). That's not the only place it gets used but, definitely the primary location. I don't know how I could have possibly thought that I should've gotten the shorter board when I wrote my original review other than just being that much skinnier and stronger then but, I could NOT be any happier with my choice going with the longer. With a shorter board you could find yourself facing a much steeper rate of incline for your transfer in some situations. If you're looking at this because you're having trouble transferring from seat to seat, (and that would probably be a fairly safe assumption), I can't recommend it highly enough. It has the strength and durability to do the job that it was made and marketed for, I absolutely love it. *Previously - My disability is getting worse and worse all the time. I like to force myself up to my feet to transfer if I can but, that's just not possible all the time, so I need something like this on hand. I've only used it a handful of times but, so far, it's worked well for me. My only gripe is on me, I feel like I should've got the 24" one instead. Probably if I had I'd be saying I should've got the 30".

No dislikes I really love this board very good material and makes it so much easier to maneuver my patient.

The wood is excellent on this board, smooth finish, so it is easy to slide on. One problem though, the wood grain has a little split area. from the handle opening to the outer edge. It had to be repaired with glue. But is okay after this repair was done... it makes movement from wheelchair to cars and bed much easier. The board is heavy in weight, so be sure you have enough arm strength to use it alone. The extra length makes a more secure bridge in transfer. good product

The board is too short for an easy bed to chair transfer.

These are very sturdy, thick transfer boards, solid and pretty heavy. I haven't tried them yet but am hoping they will work out well. I purchased these based on customer reviews (most favorable), and also because they are longer and sturdier than a standard transfer board. They shipped very quickly and were well packaged.

Bought this for my 16 yr old to do car to wheelchair, and wheelchair to car transfers. Got it and the board was cracked. Requested have a replacement sent. Will update if the new one is cracked as well. It does have faster delivery than says. Which is the only good thing so far.
