Bandai Hobby RG 1/144 Unicorn 02 Banshee Norn Gundam UC Figure Model Kit, Model Number: BAN221060

Great quality kit that still uses the older style of RG inner frame, but aside from that mine is INSANELY stiff so maybe having it loosen up a bit over time wouldn’t be terrible. (Could also be a completely new type of inner frame but I’m not sure when RGs got their upgrade) Comes with all of the accessories you’d expect with the banshee, the transformation around the waist does make me mad though since it is very easy to undo when you’re not paying attention, and I haven’t had the displeasure of any loose pieces falling off like my RG wing gundam EW… However they could have given us the claw and cool nu gundam funnel beam rifle arm thing (you do better without googling the name of it). Overall my favorite gundam from the series so I give it the extra star but be prepared to sit around for a couple more hours than usual since this dark plastic really needs a buff around nubs before it can really shine its best.

Lower price than hobby store I visited, awesome gundam, and looks great in my collection - even though I haven’t finished it

Awesome kit! I already had the RG white Unicorn....which is great. But it's getting so boring after they keep releasing variation and variation for 10+ yrs. This kit, while it's the same as Unicorn with different color... but the backpack (wings?) and huge shield made it stand out. If you're considering the Full Armor Unicorn or this kit, I would strongly suggest this kit over RG Full Armor Unicorn. The reason being the full weapon set makes Unicorn basically unable to move! This kit on the hand didn't go overboard with weapons etc. So you'll have a better time building or posing with it. Note: There is a p-Bandai version of this kit but all that is the exact same kit with the green psycho frame instead of orange... not a big deal. There is also a p-Bandai weapon set.... (boy, they really want to milk this series dry, do they?). Those are just the rail gun and the crawl hand weapons ONLY. In that configuration, the instruction will let you know not to use the Norn's version backpack and shield. But if you think about it, why not? Sure, the instruction is going by source materials But there is nothing stopping you from using those parts anyway. The only problem you'll face is the huge shield will have to stay on the back. And there's no easy way to hold the magnum rifle. That's trade-off worth it in my opinion b/c the rail gun and crawl arms are one of the most unique weapons set in Gundam history ever. 2nd Note: If you're planning to use those stickers as instructed, well good luck. The sheer amount of tiny stickers will drive you nuts! I find that the suggestion of putting panels lines and stickers on for each finished body parts and limbs will help. Oh, speaking of panel line, unlike the all-white Unicorn, this kit looks great without any panel lines. You normally wouldn't panel line dark color parts anyway. But I decided to try it with a gold pen, it looks quite good. I think that copper, brown, grey or silver will also work for panel line. 3rd note - I wish they chose better color for the "gold" parts. The dull gold color just feel mismatched. I normally never painted any RG kits, but I did repaint the gold part just for this kit.

Very enjoyable kit. It's very complicated, but the real-grade part count is put to good use by enabling the transformation, so it's a better bang for your buck than you might expect. The transformation alone takes up a few pages, and adds a whole level to the kit. Visually, it's a great combination of colors with slightly different blues and golds in the RG style. Poseability is nothing to write home about, but is fine, and the arms seem reasonably strong (but that shield isn't going to be doing much). As you can see from my pictures, it is much taller than standard UC suits.

The only problematic parts are the parts they added the the banshee that make it different from the basic unicorn unfortunately, they fall off and restrict movement majorly, but outside of 3-4 parts its a fantastic model

This is my most fun rg build! The gold parts weren’t very cool so I painted them with gundam marker. But this is a very cool rg kit! I want to get some more banshee rg kits this year!

The Kit arrived earlier than expected which was nice and it wasnt damaged in any way, so i am excited to build this!

Ever since I had gotten the RG Unicorn I knew a Banshee version would be created and it does not disappoint. It doesn’t need panel lining it’s great straight build. My only complaint is the shield booster. Does not connect well and looks awkward on its back. Other than that great kit to get.
