Super cute very kid friendly. The value for this ride is a really good price. The fishing pole is a telescopic , so it fits very small. Functionality, wise I believe it will be probably best for my 5-year-old.Durability, your ability wise is going to be the same.It's good for kids. The fishing pole in the long run is good For tight spaces and for little kids.

Safe and fun fishing rod for young child. Easy to cast and reel in. Although we haven’t caught anything yet my child enjoys using it. Good price and good durability

This is a nice little fishing rod. I bought it to use as a cat toy - tie a catnip mouse to the line and send it out through the living room while watching TV. The small rod is good for indoor use and the cat loves to chase the mouse. Its actually a capable casting rod and reel and you can drop the mouse pretty accurately. I think it would be an excellent introduction to angling for a young person. Both rod and reel seem to be well made, the line seems to be pretty low test though.

I bought this for my daughter (7) who wanted to get into fishing. Perfect rod size for her to learn on before I start upgrading her to more dependable equipment. Easy to use. Be careful though, the push button will break if it slips off its hinges and you press too hard.

Wanted a Mickey rod for my almost 3 year old - since that’s what I started out with. A lot of reviews said this was just for practice or that really young couldn’t use this as a real rod. Nope - fully functional toddler fishing pole! The casting fish is great when they are ready to start attempting to cast on their own in the backyard. Easy to rig up. Does NOT come with any type of hook or tackle. Grab a hide-a-hook bobber set (the Shakespeare one I grabbed was already rigged and I just had to tie it on to the end). Perfect for starting creek and pond fishing!I will note that while this was perfect, I am looking at a different rod for when we go to the beach and fish in the saltwater creeks. The line on this is fine, but those flounder hit quick and it can be a big guy. I’m not looking to test the line weight. We’ll get a more professional/heavy weight rig for that trip!If you have littles or grands you want to take old school creek or pond fishing - this does the trick magnificently! Out of the packaging, hook/bobber/weight tied on and had a brim on the line within 15 seconds of our hook hitting the water. Can’t beat that for a lucky starter rod!

Bought this for my nephew and he loves it! First pole and he got the hang of it right away. Very easy to use and keeps him entertained

The only thing I can really say about this is it was a very cute rod. It sunk before first cast. 🫣 maybe make it float since this is intended for small children.
