Now this is a transmitter worth my time to write a review. I've been using it for 2 months and it amazes me every time I get to use it. This radio is not for those who are not familiar with advanced use of electronics. If you cannot change a driver on a windows PC I don't recommend this radio. It requires the experience and knowledge of operating systems, and most importantly the use of brain. Of course even the less experienced users can operate this transmitter with the use of Google and YouTube but they will be using only 10% of the potential of this machine. If you don't want to spend the time setting this up and want an easy to use radio that is as capable as this get the $1400 IX20, that's how incredible the TX16s is. I would argue that it's even better than spektrum since you can bind to almost any receiver you already have. If you're smart but broke this radio is for you. In recent months they just released a function that can do forward programming for the newer spektrum receivers, just amazing. With this being said, it is somewhat harder to use than let's say Spektrum but the bang for your buck is amazing. I like the size of this thing. It's not too big or too small. It's solidly built even with the less advanced gimbal, they are fully adjustable and the resolution is perfect. Batteries last a long time, this takes the 18650 batteries and I recommend to get 4, I got 6. Have them fully charged in the case with me wherever I go. If it's running low, just swap them a baam, you're good to go. It features 2 usb c ports. Took me a while to figure out how to charge it. Plug your charging cable to the bottom port. The top port is for firmware update and simulator. I managed to make it work with the Phoenix Simulator 6. It's a great Simulator and it's free to download, just Google Phoenix Simulator and follow the steps, you don't have to spend $100 for just the Real Flight. Back to the transmitter, you don't have to get the max version of the t16. Like I mentioned the gimbals are crazy good. Now I can bind 2 16 channel frsky receivers and have 32 channels like a madman! I was chasing 14 channel receivers and finally realized I don't have to spend $500 just for receiver. Get yourself X8R or the Frsky 10Plus with built in gyro, get the 16ch sbus decoder for $18 here on Amazon and you can go 16 channels no problemo. Go get it!

The quality is dead even, if not better than the big “S” brand..& yes i have three of the other brand. Radiomaster seems to have more heft and doesn’t feel as light, or have somewhat of a toy-like feel. Even though i use and like the “S” brand. The Radiomaster is an absolutely incredible radio and its capabilities are just about endless. I fly all my Electric airplanes with the Radiomaster and have never had a single problem with signal loss or any unexplainable glitches. I can highly recommend thIS radio…. That said, in my opinion learning how to program it took a lot longer than the two other brands from Big “S” and Fut@@a, that i have used for many years. Many will disagree. I find the videos on YouTube about this radio extremely helpful and ultimately, those videos are what got me through doing a basic setup on a six channel airplane. A great radio, that is very well made and does it all..just be prepared for a fairly steep learning curve than other brands that are more straight forward. If you’re new to the hobby, another thing to consider is what the other pilots at the field are using for a radio. It’s nice to have someone that can easily help and explain some things to you.

Ordered his little brother first the tx12 I think, then big boy came up and had to snag him as well, let’s just say little bro is in the box sleeping in the garage. Value wise id say it’s perfect since you can use the controller for multiple platforms including PC gaming which is what I’ve done the most id say. Works wonderful both on the drone and on pc. It is a bit on the big side but I don’t mind since I have big hands.
