The red sweater is thicker and longer and covers my dog's back to his tail (wonderful); however the underside is almost as long and comes right to his "privates", so I know he'd pee on it. The grey sweater is a lighter weight fabric; back portion is not as long as red one (which would be great for less chilly days), and the underside covers chest only; but the short little sleeves sewn to the body of sweater are too tight, especially the stitching that connects sleeves to sweater - there is absolutely no stretch or give. My dog is a 10 pound morkie, neck 12”, chest 16”, and back 12”. Medium fit better. Red sweater fits looser than the gray, but gray is longer down the back. Had to do fold and stitch to keep the underside of the red sweater high enough to not get peed on. It is cut differently than the gray underneath. For the $ think they are a good deal.
