too big to fit a lens hood
The designed the exterior diameter of the filter to be larger than standard size so that it's easier to use. This also means you can't fit a lens hood on your lens. This kind of genius design decision seems to be common for Polar Pro. This issue happened on a Sony 70-200 GM lens with a 77mm filter.
