The monitor weighs 28.66 lb which this stand is supposed to handle. Even with the screws on the stand fully tightened it couldn't support the weight of the monitor. Additionally, the clamp crushed the wooden desk I was using (although the desk was inexpensive from ikea). Very disappointed in this product and returned the next day. I've seen multiple other similar reviews with the same complaint. I don't think this is a fluke. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works, TILT joint wasn't the best option for this weight but you just have to tighten it. *by A***X on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2019* Got this for my 30lb 49" Sony XBR49X900F because it was one of the few stands that explicitly states in its *manuals* (have to look for that paperwork link since amazon is crap about weight limit specs) that it was 'designed for heavier monitors' and is rated for '20-40lbs'. That's 20 minimum.Now, I did need to get an adapter- this thing's mount is for VESA 100x100 and that Sony TV is 200x200 (4x the size).BUT I"m happy to say it's satisfied my requirements.The main arm holds up the TV with tightening to spare. The TILT joint, while I did need to tighten that sucker up, is holding firm. And I adore the quick-lock. Fun story- the thing about hooking up a TV this size is that it's difficult to mount due to its sheer bulk, not just its weight- had a eureka moment where I just put the TV down and then was able to move the arm around behind it to slide in the mounting bracket. Quick-lock made that easy as pie. Anyway, it works well.Now, that's not to say it's perfect. Once you get to a display this heavy, the TILT mechanism they selected is sub-par. IT DOES HOLD, so that other customer that was complaining that it doesn't either didn't tighten it enough or had something go wrong, but even so this could really use a spring or some sort of force-assist to counteract gravity. As-is you have to exert ~60lbs of force to tilt it up (overcome both the force of gravity AND the force of the tightened joint that's already resisting that gravity) but <5lbs to tilt it down. I mean shoot, if you tilt it up and just let it go, the inertia alone could be enough to overcome the tightened joint's resistance and tilt the TV right back down.A minor gripe, you just have to let go of it gently after tilt changes, but there IS room for improvement going forward.Overall I'm happy with it, deserves 4 stars, and here's a pic to show I'm a real human bean. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Supports the LG 43UD79-B 42 inch monitor *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2018* Absolutely perfect.I bought an LG 43UD79-B along with this arm. The LG 43UD79-B is a whopping 42 inches at 28 lbs (without the stand). This arm is rated up to 40 lbs, and it handles the 43UD79-B without a hitch.When you push the arm as far back as it goes, the actual mount is slightly to the left or right of the actual base. Just be aware of this so that if you want the monitor perfectly centered when pushed far back, you'll need to clamp the mount down a little off-center.
