Bristan Frenzy Thermostatic Cool Tough Shower Bar Valve & Multi Mode Kit

Ahigh quality product, as expected from a quality brand like Bristan. Our old mixer bar, whihc has been hanging on for a year or so finally failed. Looking for replacements, it seems that the choice is unknown brands with strange sounding names at very low prices, or known, quality brands at around twice the price. HAving had Bristan mixers in previous houses, and knowing how good they are, this selection was a bit of a no-brainer, especially as it included a new shower head, riser and hose. The box contains everything you could need, including proper wall mounts, whereas cheaper ones either need you to source your own fittings or leave the mixer dangling from a length of copper pipe sticking out the wall. As we had a proper mounting bar fitted previously, installation was simply a matter of turning off the electric supply to the booster pump, turning off the water, releasing the existing securing nuts and fixing the new unit. Total time - 20 minutes. Termerature control is spot on and changes quickly with a simple twist of the thermostat and it retains the set tempurature. The facture maximunm setting was about right, so haven't bothered with adjusting. Overall, a good product and well worth the money. Buy cheap and you buy twice

We've had an older version of this bar for some years now. Only replacing it as the thermostat parts started becoming still to adjust. I was looking into swapping the cartridges but this was on offer and came with new accessories and looked a simple swap from old to new. It comes with fittings which means you can isolate the water feeds which is nice but we had just pipes that simply screwed into the bar itself so those parts I didnt use. So swapping over was simple and easy. The new bar has the on off on the opposite side which is actually better for us, but after years of having it on the other side I'm still changing the temperature instead of shutting it off! The temperature is steady and you can adjust it up and down easily. Also you can adjust the base settings to make sure it can't be turned up too high by children or by mistake, which is great for me when I reach for the wrong side! Quality seems the same as the old version so hopefully another good few years use from this bar.

Always find Bristan to be good quality. Simple to fit, used plumbers mait on fittings. Only gave 4 stars because the slots on built in isolation valves burred up causing a cut finger.

Nothing to dislike, easy installation, loved the idea of having water isolation inlet valves being included with the purchase. Very simple and fast to instal, even a none skilled person could install this in no time. Mine is run direct from a combi boiler, shower quality and performance is fantastic, temperature is perfect. Great shower. Shower head was a bit naff so I have upgraded mine, but at the price the shower was, I didn't mind.

This was a direct replacement for a unit which had ceased after 11 years of faithful service and could not be repaired. It fitted directly onto the existing fittings even though slightly different cosmetic finish. I did not fit the new fittings as this would have taken stripping down pipes. Took 5 minutes in total. Remember to put the small filters in first and do not over tighten. The only criticism is that the controls are the opposite way to my old unit and most of the current ones on sale. So I am very pleased.
