More than that, the author took the time to explain, in layman's terms; what was going on in the body, the reasons for various types of workouts (so you can choose which fit your needs), and terms which you might not understand (in a simple but non-condescending manner). I liked the diagrams that displayed the muscle groups being engaged. Although I wasn't looking for them, I also appreciated the yoga explanation and poses. Well written book
This book is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The diagrams are very well drawn to show proper form. The text explains the different workouts and the supplied forms will work to keep me on track.

This is a wonderful book
This is a wonderful book, full of information from chair exercises to yoga poses. The illustrations and directions are very clear. Anyone who wants to get into chair exercises for whatever reason, this is the book for you. What you read on the cover, covers what you can learn inside the book. Good job James Atkinson and thank you.

I really like James's books, and although this one isn't necessarily something I would read, it was the fact that it was something I could read and learn about for my 83 year old mother. Mum's recently been told she could do with losing a few pounds, but due to old age and mobility issues, going for walks or a gym is simply out of the question. This book was the answer! I downloaded it onto a kindle so mum could not only read, but see pictures, and the animations which were key as I can't always be there to show her what to do. It's really well written, and lays everything out so it's easy to follow and incorporate into everyday life. All in all this is another fantastic exercise book by James, and it's nice to find ones aimed at those less mobile, or for the older generation. My mum absolutely loves it! Highly recommended!

Great easy read, the author gives a clear logical, structured explanation and step by step guide to chair exercises. Whether it be using a resistance band or doing chair yoga exercises. He also gives many other helpful tips such as how to create your own personal chair activity workouts. The diagrams and links to the animations are very useful. Looking forward to getting started.
