Installation was easy, and it worked as described

Summary:These lift supports are an exact match to the original equipment, relatively easy to install, and offer a much more affordable alternative to dealer-priced parts.Details:The rear hatch lifts on our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport stopped working, and these replacements arrived quickly and saved the day! Installation took about an hour and a half. The instructions included with the lifts provided a basic understanding of the process, and a few online videos helped with the specifics for our model year. We had the necessary tools, primarily for removing the interior trim. Once we completed the first side, the second side was much easier.We did have to reference the owner’s manual to learn how to activate the lifts and reset the stop height (we had no idea the stop height was adjustable—bonus!). Once activated, these lifts performed better than the originals—they’re smoother, quieter, and seem to be faster.The local dealer quoted almost $600 for parts and labor to replace these, but we saved a lot by doing it ourselves, and it wasn’t that hard with the right instructions.(** We took video of the final operation and will upload it soon)

These drop right in and are a direct replacement for the original parts. They’re heavy duty and raise and lower the door perfectly, and I don’t notice any difference between the OEM parts and these. Except these are much cheaper.
