We put 4 of these lights along a sidewalk attached to a shed and they come on quickly when people or animals get close, then go back out. They work great to activate our security camera to record the motion.

These solar motion lights work great. They only stay on maybe 30 seconds. Super bright, Great lights for walking around a dark yard at night. You need to get about six feet away before the motion sensor triggers, which is a good thing - they don’t constantly go on and off with people or things passing by at a distance.HOWEVER place these lights as LOW as you can. For some reason the LEDs throw enough light up to be blinding. I am going to try placing a little piece of duct tape along the top edge to prevent the glare, see how that goes.Overall I like these lights very much. Good value for the money, and they work as specified!

Purchased these lights for entry lights on an outdoor shed. Lights are easy to install and put out plenty of light. They are not super bright security lights, which I was not looking for, but rather lights to illuminate an entry way. Their sensitivity is much greater than most of the lights in this catagory, and they detect from the advertised distance. One of the 4 lights was not operational on receipt, however. I contacted the company thru Amazon, and they immediately sent me a replacement, for which I returned the defective unit.

Bought a set of four of these inexpensive lights. One was dead right out of the box - so much for QC. Unfortunately, I had let them sit beyond the return date before testing them. Please learn from my mistake.These are inexpensive lights, rated at 320 lumens (somewhere between a 25 watt and 40 watt incandescent bulb). There are no controls to adjust (motion sensor range, delay time, etc.), just an on/off button.They DO work (at least the three out of four of mine that were functional) and are adequate for limited areas like a small (10x10 or so) patio or exterior steps. But there's no enough horsepower here to adequately light up even a modestly sized yard. You'll want something better for that.Although the seller's Amazon description states that the battery is replaceable, the minimalist instructions that come with this light make NO mention of battery replacement nor do they even list a battery type. I took apart my "dead" light and found that the internal battery is a type 18650 1200 mAh 3.7v cylindrical battery. It CAN be replaced if you CAREFULLY remove the rear panel of the light (the internal wiring is fragile) but for the cost of a replacement battery you can probably replace the entire light.
