Well fast forward a week or so and I've had the chance to compare this version to the other variants laying around the office, and to cut the chase... Yes, I notice a difference between this one and my co-workers 40$ variant. I can spend all day standing and I feel pretty good by the end of the day...I skimmed a couple articles and this mat came on top of the other models reviewed... It's a little thicker, and made from a different material than the cheap ones. Anyway, I recommend it if you are going to use it alot, despite it costing double of similar models...If you aren't going to use it all the time you my save a buck and go with the cheaper type.. They help too, but are inferior.FYI I'm about 6'2 205lbs and wear Allen Edmonds most days...
