Pylex 13907 7 Steps Steel Stair Stringers, Black

Well after years of building wooden stringers that are very cumbersome and rot out within 5 years, I took a chance on these stringers. I could not be more pleased and I will be replacing all of my wooden stringers eventually with these. I was a little worried about lining up the holes with the steps to get the bolts in, but I found it easy after putting the stringers on saw horses and using a marker to mark the hole for drilling. The new steps are solid and sturdy. I am a 62 year old woman and they came out perfect. So much better than dealing with wood!

Well made, great packaging, came fast.I am using the 6 step stringer for an above ground pool deck. This product has taken an an awkward height of around 58" and made the process super simple. If done in wood I would of needed an 8-9 step stringer or to build my own.Installation is simple. Product is sturdy and looks great. I love all of Pylex products. I wish they were easier to find in the US. Thank God for Amazon.

My concept was often received with a puzzled brow. But I had an idea and I was determined to realize it. I came across this item via a friend’s suggestion and it turned out to be the ideal solution. I made a promise to my niece several years ago to build her a doggy staircase. I told her I would build it but she had to trust me. I wasn’t going to build just any old carpeted steps that you can by at PetsRUs or name your store here. I had multiple designs I worked out but this piece guided me to my ultimate end. Using reclaimed, ancient wood from renovations happening around New Orleans, I finally came to the end of my journey. It wasn’t without failure and it didn’t magically appear out of the ether, but I’m so very pleased with the outcome that I may have to build more and sell them to the adoring public (I do want to take my wife to Paris). I was impressed by how easy it was to install this product . I ended up needing 13 steps for my project (im building a loft in my shop) it feels extremely sturdy even tho I haven’t done the diagonal support yet ( which I will) 100 % worth it

They DID come as a pair in the package. So now I have an extra set as I ordered two. But I'll probably keep them as they are easy to set up and very well made. I could not find anything comparable at Home Depot or Lowe's and definitely not for the price. The only downside was the packaging was not necessarily the best but they weren't damaged so all is good.

Took us less then an hour for a sturdy 5 step setup. Watch the install video. It helps tons. Lay things out on ground first to get a handle on how to attach the wood.Note the screws into wood end up at angle and therefore didn't go through the wood(good thing).Make sure the wood into house/patio is good, you need the ability to screw into good surface.

Cheap, versatile, easy to install, and seem solidly constructed. Some rust forming in small spots after rain exposure over the past two months. Whatever. They were fairly beaten up when they arrived, so I expected that to happen. Doesn't diminish their sturdiness. But be aware that you may want to repaint these before you install them if you don't want them to rust.
