Rain-XCar & Tyre Cleaning Pack - 3-in-1 Wheel Cleaner with Graphene Rim Armour - Tyre Cleaner and Alloy Wheel Brush - 2 x 500ml

After a very dusty/pollen filled summer, I picked up this kit to slip into my car cleaning rotation to ensure my wheels were sparkling.After giving the car a quick hose down to remove any loose bits of dirt, I applied the wheel cleaner to my alloy quite generously. For those that have used similar alloy cleaner before, whenever it comes into contact with baked in brake dust it reacts and turns purple. Personally I find this quite satisfying as you can literally see the cleaner working in real time. Your aim is to leave this on for no longer than 5 minutes so after a few minutes, take the included brush and agitate the surface of the alloy and tyre before spraying off with water. You should be left with an absolutely glowing alloy.This is one of two 'issues' I have with this set. For those with alloys with a lot of tight spaces the included brush is simply too large. Including a smaller detailing brush would have been a fantastic way to ensure that all the dirt can be removed. This is cheap enough to purchase separately and can be used for other jobs, so not a massive deal breaker.After cleaning the remaining alloys in a similar manner, as well as cleaning the rest of the car, I returned to the tyres once they were dry to apply the tyre cleaner to the outer wall of the tyres only. You are not looking to apply this to the treads of the tyre!My final 'issue' is that it seems quite an oversight not to include something for applying the tyre cleaner. My personal preference is a simple kitchen sponge, which admittedly is cheap enough to purchase. I was very impressed at how the tyres turned out and had that showroom shine to them.❓Recommendation❓I honestly think this is a fantastic kit and is very well priced considering the size of the bottles included and that you're getting a very solid brand for the money. As mentioned, it is lacking in two minor areas but this is cheap enough to resolve without downgrading my rating. Would definitely recommend this!

Does what it says

Very good products that work really well. The wheel cleaner is ideal for breaking down brake dust and metal deposits as they turn pink after a few seconds. I have a Tesla so perhaps wasted on me as I barely use the brakes, but nevertheless it did a great job of cleaning my wheels to a perfect shine.The tire protection is also just as good. I'd have preferred the nozzle to be a bit less squirty, as a bit of the liquid bounced off the wall of the tire and went to waste. Maybe next time I should squirt it into a cloth or just be more careful, but the results were fantastic and my tires are still looking great days after.The brush is comfortable and of a good size but this will depend on your spoke design. Some I couldn't quite push it through so could have done with something a bit smaller.A pretty good price and would make a good gift for a car enthusiast.

My partner usually buys Rain-X for his motorcycle helmet as the visor tends to attract bugs and it helps with visibility in the bad weather here, so we thought we'd give the Rain-X tyre cleaning kit a go for the car.I focussed the cleaner on one wheel at a time - be careful with your hands (wear gloves) and be cautious about breathing it in, as it seems to have strong chemicals. The 3-in-1 'clean / polish / protect' Wheel Protectant formula sprays on the wheel alloys and turns a purple-y colour - gave it two applications to the front wheels as we had new back wheels fitted weeks ago. So the front tyres were obviously dirtier!After a few minutes, we scrubbed it off with the brush, which is nicely stiff, but not too much, though it did get a bit bent out of shape after a bit of light scrubbing. I had a mini scouring sponge to hand to help with more intricate places. Boyf had been working on new brake discs recently and there was quite a bit of brake dust, so it was good to see them looking pristine (as much as possible).Rinsed off with the hose and proceeded to clean the car all over afterwards (before the Tyre Shine as the final step).The Tyre Shine & Protectant spray gives a pleasing sheen to the tyres. I saw others were using a microfibre mitten (had one put away from a detailing kit bought a while ago!) which helped ease of application. I like the glossy look, though my partner prefers a more subtle sheen (I called the shots this time as I was doing it!).The tyres look fantastic now! I'd definitely recommend as an extra bit of detailing for your car, it brings it all together after a wash and wax.
