So far so good...... but definitely not waterproof, splash proof maybe. Instructions in box say comes with battery which it doesn't.

Easier to use than standard metal detector in small places and helps locate your`e find in small clumps of soil.

It's good does the job, but it's not waterproof as I found out today, I will have to dry it out and hope it still works ok.

I have yet to test it in the field, it dos detect objects, but only very close, a silver ring at a distain of 1cm at the tip and there is no high bipping, when flat it does bip and vibrates higher when you get closer to the object, seems like the sensor was put in the wrong way?? I've read and seen some ok reviews on you tube. I think it is a matter of luck if you get a good one or a bad one. Will get back when I`ve done a field test.I`ve now done a field test, and must say I am positive surprised, it does do the job rather well, but it`s not very sensitive, it needs to be close to the object about 1-2 cm. Will I recommend? Yes if you are on a budget, will I bye one again? No. I now give it 3 stars.
